The focus of this position will be to lead the New Product Development & IP Enablement team. The team will own all corporate level NPD and IP development procedures, facilitate training, guide NPD/IP development teams and drive continuous improvement. In addition, the enablement team will perform competitive analysis of third-party IP and do proof-of-concept analysis/design related to new IP, circuits and flows. Ultimate goal for this team is to drive NPD/IP execution improvement across onsemi.

Core Responsibilities

Recruit, develop, and lead a multi-disciplinary NPD/IP enablement team to drive execution improvement across onsemi, focusing on quality, efficiency and cost.

  • Collaborate to create "one team" philosophy within Central IP and with onsemi business units (BUs).
  • Work effectively across organizational boundaries; Collaborate with other stakeholders to create effective improvement plans and gauge success of previous action items.
  • Facilitate improvements in execution focusing on quality, efficiency and cost.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor your team.
  • Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to other engineering teams.
  • Guide upper management to making sound decisions with regard to your area of expertise.
  • Develop and communicate operations and key performance indicator reports.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:
Technical Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
  • 10 plus years of results-oriented New Product Development and/or IP development experience
  • 5 plus years of leadership experience, preferably with a global multi-site team of engineers
  • Deep knowledge of New Product (IC) and IP Development flows and methods
  • Track record for driving execution and continuous improvement
  • Solid background in system engineering
  • Full understanding of the fundamentals of IC manufacturing, including reliability, yield, DFM, and DFT
  • Proven ability to execute mixed-signal design projects and provide technical leadership and direction to design teams.
