Role Summary/Purpose

The Senior Director - Head of ERP is responsible leading the ERP Programs and Support teams for GEDs IT organization. The work will include the delivery of highly complex cross disciplined Digital programs that span multiple organizations, various other stakeholders within GE, as well as partners. S/he will be responsible for defining and executing programs, and tracking and monitoring

key metrics to ensure milestones are met on time and on budget.

NOTE: Can work remotely (from home) within U.S.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manages ERP system software, transactional data management, and reporting systems through a team of knowledgeable direct reports.
  • Provide strategic direction, guidance, leadership, and supervision for Programs & Operations staff.
  • Develop and execute ERP recruiting resourcing strategy to match high volume needs and timeline associated; explore effective resourcing models and combination of contractor and full-time employees to deliver needs of business.
  • Provide world-class, stable and secure operational execution for ERP platforms used by the GE Digital business. Build strong metric-driven framework to keep high service levels, optimize the cost of ownership of all platforms and maximize system performance and availability.
  • Build an agile dev/ops organization and processes to standardize level of service, performance KPIs to continue maintaining solid ERP capabilities with a lean and continues improvement mindset.
  • Lead a strong and experienced talent pool to enable an agile, dev/ops team empowered and accountable to sustain a constant evolving best-in-class SAAS ERP platform.
  • Manage client & vendor problem resolution and escalation.
  • Accountable for the oversight of all business Finance IT applications.
  • Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance and development of related software based on department needs.
  • Keep current with trends and issues in the Cloud ERP and Finance IT application industry. Advise, counsel, and educate executive team and division leaders on their competitive or financial impact.
  • Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organization of the Applications staff in accordance with budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
  • Manage financial budgets, resources, and relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and business partners.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Oversee negotiation and administration of vendor or outsourcer and service agreements.
  • Define ERP implementation roadmap to integrate GRID Software business on to GE Digital.
  • Define and implement processes for coordination and communication between organizations and with GE stakeholders.
  • Work closely with ERP release management to ensure that Digital project deliverables are coordinated with corresponding deliverables from other organizations.
  • Establish governance structure that identifies key performance indicators, sets milestones, and establishes a reporting cadence.
  • Manage risk and dependencies between organizations.
  • Track and monitor program status and metrics to ensure milestones are met, and internal and external delivery commitments are met.
  • Provide leadership and direction with regards to technology, vendors, business partners, policy, and standards.
  • Lead cross-discipline teams to establish an integrated plan to deliver team commitments.
  • Ensure ongoing communication of progress against program objectives.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues and make recommendations for improvements to existing processes.
  • Ensure that the project deployment process abides by all defined cross-discipline standards and all compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that development deliverables meet the acceptance criteria predefined for projects.



Qualifications / Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree. Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) preferred
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Oracle Cloud ERP
  • A minimum of 10+ years of Oracle ERP experience.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience along with established leadership across the discipline and function

Desired Characteristics

The GE Digital Head of ERP will partner with GE Digital Finance, Engineering,

Commercial, Support, and Service teams to enable GE Digitals business transformation, a key milestone in achieving Digital as a stand-alone business. S/he will coordinate multiple interdependent projects including the ERP implementation of Oracle Fusion at GE Digital. This includes building an executable program roadmap, identifying IT investment to execute, and removing obstacles to enable execution. S/he will leverage deep technology, process, and domain

expertise to drive execution across multiple interdependent projects. S/he will collaborate with functional owners(s), project technical team(s), project and product managers, architects, and interdependencies teams.

Technical Expertise:

  • Demonstrated program and project management skills including project initiation, scoping, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and communication.
  • Extensive experience in leading, managing, and developing the enterprise applications portfolio, ensuring interoperability and responsiveness to business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects of increasing complexity with commensurate professional sophistication.
  • Product, technology, or industry expertise relevant to the Finance IT portfolio focus.
  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements, and estimating efforts.
  • Experience in managing large scale enterprise application deployment for software organizations.
  • Ability to get deep to understand interactions across all of the GE Digital ecosystem including the GE Digital BUs.
  • Familiarity with key Digital platforms and/or processes: CloudFoundry, ServiceNow, Oracle Fusion, Cloud ERPs, Netsuite, Nurego, SalesForce, Sabrix, Reuters Tax System, Rally, Ahha!
  • Knowledge of LEAN planning and analysis tools (Bowler charts, Value Stream Mapping etc).
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering, accounting, and mathematical principles required to analyze computer systems needs and design and implement software solutions in an ERP environment.
  • ITIL process experience (specifically change management and configuration management).
  • Strong experience with change management processes.

  • Proven track record of setting targets, executing a plan, and delivering results.
  • Ability to plan and provide structure and organization in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to plan, direct, and review the activities of technical personnel involved in the design, development, and implementation of applications packaged programs in an ERP environment.
  • Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles, barriers, and uncertainty on behalf of the team.
  • Ability to decompose problems and make decisions when problems or solutions are not 100% defined; translate these solutions into terms understandable by non-IT savvy personnel Leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and influencing across a complex, global matrix organization and leading people (people managers, technical leads, and individual contributors).
  • Strong influencing/negotiation skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills combined with demonstrated team management capabilities.
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with other GE businesses and partners.
  • Uses critical thinking skills and disciplined approaches to help leaders and leadership teams resolve issues and define solutions.
  • Shares knowledge, power, and credit, establishing trust, credibility, and goodwill
