What's the role?
This is a highly visible senior leadership position within our Distribution Services and Field Total Rewards Operations organization, who will be responsible to not only ensure we deliver an excellent service experience to both our Field and Principals across Career Distribution, but to also identify and implement key initiatives to continuously enhance process and service efficiency levels across the organization, while also fostering an environment of full collaboration and engagement both within our teams as well as with business partners and key members of our field.
Job Description:

  • Directs the Field Rewards and Benefits Contact Center and the Administrative Services team supporting both our Field Force as well as Senior Level Principles across Career Distribution.
  • Responsible to ensure service levels are consistently met and improved by establishing key performance and service thresholds, and driving specific actions and initiatives to continuously enhance operational efficiency, productivity levels and service standards across the different teams. Ensures key metrics are planned, monitored, and analyzed to meet team objectives
  • Identifies and implements specific call and case management tools and capabilities to drive economies of scale and optimize performance.
  • Directs cross-functional initiatives to identify, prioritize and resolve service difficulties and continuously enhance the overall field experience, and help us deliver on our main strategic objectives (Perform; Transform; Talent & Culture)
  • Provides ongoing support and leadership to both management and office staff. Directs resource allocation for programs, projects, or services in alignment with priorities
  • Leads successful teams by attracting and retaining strong talent and establishing a highly diverse and fully expansive team environment.
  • Recruits, Coaches and develops teams, and drives actions to continuously improve employee engagement and satisfaction levels.
  • Builds strong partnerships both within NM and our Field. Influences and facilitates flow of relevant information between stakeholders and other teams


Bring your best! What the role requires:
Broad professional knowledge of the insurance and investment services industry
10+ years of experience working in the areas of field compensation and finances, insurance operations, sales reporting and awards preferred
5+ years of experience leading service and operations organizations and functions in the Financial Services industry. Prior experience leading Contact Center teams a plus.
Experience on the standards, policies and processes associated with risk and investment product field compensation, sales incentives and loan programs
Extensive administrative experience with a high degree of people, project and process management competencies, including process transformation, automation, audit and controls.
Demonstrated high level of organization skills and follow-through with the ability to effectively identify and independently establish priorities and meet deadlines on multiple assignments with high quality results. Strong problem solving and strategic/critical thinking skills
Must demonstrate effective leadership and ability to influence others without authority.
Superior social skills to lead diverse groups of people, challenge the status quo and risk tolerance
Demonstrated organizational agility to work across organizational boundaries, take risks, influence, and collaborate with all levels on solutions that benefit the organization
Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to gain rapport and partnership at all levels in the field and home office.
Experience leading cross-functional teams in developing and implementing new operational processes and standards.
Demonstrated learning agility and outside-in perspective to identify future trends and practices
High degree of self-motivation with leadership and initiative in sharing information, chipping in towards group goals, and accepting responsibility for results. Pro-active and able to anticipate needs for a range of broad / complex business problems and staying ahead of them; comfortable working in an ambiguous environment
Bachelors degree with emphasis in business, finance or accounting.
FINRA licenses preferred, but NOT required.
