About this Role

The Sr. Client Relationship Manager is an integral part of the team responsible for retaining and growing USI national account relationships. The incumbent works in partnership with the National Account Manager within the Wealth channel and has direct interaction with investment decision-makers, marketing and other key contacts at client firms as agreed upon and delineated with the National Account Manager, based on the needs of the client. Clients categorized as national accounts are complex and multi-faceted, typically using multiple mandates and may have more than one investment vehicle (e.g., TRP Fund or sub-advised 1940 Act fund). They may also use TRP products in various platforms/programs.

Role Summary

Oversees assigned complex client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, a swift response to client needs, efficient problem resolution, contract and operational compliance, and risk mitigation. Identifies account growth opportunities based on client goals that may cross multiple business unit services/offerings and reviews with clients to ensure their needs are met. Responsible for relationships that are typically moderately sized and may span multiple products/services. Provides guidance to less experienced professionals and may provide secondary support on a large or key relationship under the guidance of functional managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively consults on a range of client relationships, listens for cues on client needs, and ensures continued client satisfaction and retention. Advises clients on best practices, organizational solutions, and regulatory changes.
  • Working in partnership with the National Account Manager, this position maintains consultative working relationships with investment and other key contacts at National Account Wealth Management firms.
  • Promotes firm services and offerings to assigned clients based on understanding of clients' objectives. Identifies cross-sell opportunities for products and services that may span across multiple segments/channels. Structures deals in the best interests of the client and the firm.
  • Key touch points include Home Office investment gatekeepers, Research Analysts, Product/Platform Managers, as well as Marketing, Compliance, Legal and Operational contacts. The role aligns TRP resources (PM/PS access, product capacity, marketing materials, due diligence requests, meeting support, administrative and operational support, and client reporting) to sustain world class service to build customer loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Directly manages complex client projects and oversees the successful execution of client initiatives. Tracks and reports on client metrics. Contributes to the identification and development of appropriate metrics.
  • Keeps abreast of client relationship activity occurring throughout the firm. Liaises with relevant business contacts (internally and externally) to coordinate service to the client. Escalates relevant issues to senior team members or management. Applies high client service protocols to support client satisfaction.
  • Partner with the National Account Manager within Wealth Management to ensure successful outcomes for investment review and other meeting types involving TRP subject matter experts.
  • Manage the client/prospect investment due diligence meeting needs from the point of intake to final close out of last follow up item, including conducting due diligence calls, on-site meetings, and select off-site meetings.
  • Travel as necessary and in accordance with TRP policy as travel restrictions are lifted
  • Analyzes complex data, trends, plan changes, and strategies to keep up to date with client relationship performance. Leverages data and uses complex key metrics to directly manage and respond to client inquiries; resolves problems and makes recommendations within scope of knowledge.
  • Partners with teams across the enterprise to understand best practices in client services, applicable regulatory requirements, industry trends, and competitor services/offerings.
  • Stay current on industry trends and global markets; must be an expert in the retirement and/or wealth management channel; know the channel players, the structure, touch points, channel trends, challenges, etc.; attend relevant industry conferences as appropriate.



Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 5+ years of total relevant work experience


Regional Requirements:

  • This role requires the FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. Licenses may be obtained within first 3 months of hire if not currently held

77500
(Colorado only*) Salary range minimum is one component of our total compensation and benefits package. *Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.
