Overview

Desired candidate will utilize leading practices in strategic sourcing to create value within indirect spend categories. The role will provide support and enable the internal department by providing process for sourcing products and services from viable suppliers. The position will require the use of analytical rigor, strategic sourcing processes, and effective stakeholder relationship management capability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop trust based relationships with department stakeholders
  • Cultivate systemic understanding of department goals, objectives, and requirements
  • Understand and effectively interact with the departments on the components of their business and how it operates successfully
  • Provide insights and market perspectives to the departments to support and enable their businesses as they grow
  • Leverage category market assessment data and analysis
  • Develop baseline cost for categories including total cost analysis, technical specifications, and historical cost trends
  • Document department needs related to goods or services needed to successfully support their business objectives
  • Work with Category Management to identify viable sources of supply capable of meeting those requirements and work with Supplier Relationship Management on supplier qualification & due diligence.
  • Develop sourcing strategy, evaluate key levers and coordinate to gain buy in from key stakeholders on the approach
  • Conduct the strategic sourcing process including, RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs
  • Lead and conduct the negotiations with suppliers
  • Develop a decision matrix to drive objective business recommendation to departments & stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Legal and business to implement the signed agreements for sourcing decisions
  • Interface with Finance and departments to ensure compliance and savings flow though



Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-3 years related work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Engineering, or other quantitative degree
  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams
  • Functional computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications particularly MS Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated high standards of excellence in work production and final work product
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt within a rigorous, quickly changing, and fast paced environment
  • Must maintain and promote social, ethical, and professional standards that reflect the core values of Chick-fil-A, Inc. when conducting business activities
  • 5-20% travel required: Chick-fil-A Operator/market visits, supplier visits, and related conferences



Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Masters in Finance, or Industrial Engineering or Engineering related field
  • 3.5 GPA or above
  • Knowledge and experience with leading procurement processes
  • 1-3 years strategic sourcing experience
  • Leadership on cross functional teams.
