Do you want to play a role in global commerce?
The Procurement Manager will develop global and/or regional strategies to secure materials for a certain set of product categories and services (examples: Steel, HVAC, Dock Doors/Levelers, Precast Concrete, Electricians, Asphalt, Drywall, Fire Protection). This role will collaborate with internal and external business partners to maximize the Company's scale and negotiate favorable deals that reduce cost yet ensure quality of purchased goods and services and delivery to align with internal timelines. The role will provide category insights, deliver procurement and mitigation strategies considering relevant market conditions. It will also set sourcing strategies to support category goals.
What's needed in order to do that:

  • Devise long term procurement and supplier strategies of various categories to support the organization's business plans.
  • Manage the category(ies) and its supplier(s) for execution of procurement plans and supplier performance.
  • Analyze data/insights to determine industry trends. Conduct supply market analysis using standard methodology models (SWOT, Porter's 5 Forces, etc.) to understand and demonstrate opportunities and potential risks.
  • Sets the strategy for sourcing events and ensures internal forecasts align with category strategies.
  • Identifies supplier performance standards, remove barriers and obstacles that impact performance; develop contingency plans.
  • Establish and improve procurement programs with strategic suppliers for assigned categories to aggregate and demonstrate buying power, consolidate and standardize items and suppliers, improve service levels and accountability, and increase compliance to standards.
  • Understand the needs of partners, jointly develop clear requirements, and manage expectations.
  • Travel as needed (10%-20% domestically and internationally) to meet business objectives.


Tell us if you're ready.

  • 5-10 years of proven work experience as a Procurement Manager including sourcing and procurement experience such as supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, supplier management, program development and business partner management.
  • Bachelor's Degree (supply chain / logistics and/or Business Management preferred).
  • Solid knowledge of category management principles with ability to analyze data and create strategic plans to support the business.
  • Possess a track record of delivering significant savings, mitigating risks and improving service levels. Demonstrate strong deal shaping and negotiation expertise.
  • Analytical skills, logical and methodical problem solver.
  • Communication skills: Proactively engage business partners, establishing relationships, interacting with senior level executives authoritatively, collaborating in dynamic cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrates integrity & builds trust: Promote, practice, and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Excellent in Microsoft Windows and Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.


Target base compensation range for Colorado: $100k -$140k, plus bonus target to be discussed during initial phone interview.
