The Well Managed team is seeking a highly motivated event and issue management associate to join our 1st line of defense for risk anomalies, events, and issues. The role involves the managing and execution of the risk events and issues lifecycle, consisting of assessment and event creation, containment, recovery, and closure. The ideal candidate will have good organizational, documentation, and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to perform complex investigations dealing with internal and external partners, and has proven risk management skills and knowledge. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple efforts with many stakeholders while communicating weekly updates.
The Well Managed team is seeking a highly motivated event and issue associate to join our team as the 1st line of defense for risk anomalies, events, and issues. Given the uniqueness of our product, this team presents many novel opportunities for learning. This role provides an opportunity for significant career growth as our operations organization, product, and broader IL team grow in tandem.
The role involves the managing and execution of the risk events and issues lifecycle, consisting of assessment and event creation, containment, recovery, and closure. A successful Issues Resolutions Associate is adaptable, applies integrated thinking, and supports Card’s risk event standard. The ideal candidate will have good organizational, documentation, and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to perform complex investigations dealing with internal and external partners, and has proven risk management skills and knowledge. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple efforts with many stakeholders while communicating weekly updates.
Manage the full lifecycle of issue resolution associated with the IL control suite that conforms to Domestic Card’s Event Governance Standard lifecycle consisting of: assessment, event creation, containment, recovery, and closure.
Scope and research anomalies.
Create Issues & Events in PRIME where needed
Engages key stakeholders and resources (AE, business POCs, IT/Tech, other divisions, etc)
Performs Root Cause Analysis to identify breakdowns
Setting the requirements for and identifying the initial impacted population
Documenting the containment & recovery plan (activities needed & timelines)
Fixing the breakdown so that there are no additional customer/financial impacts.
Identifying the final impacted population and correcting customer/financial impacts to the best of our ability.
Documenting risk event direct costs
Ensuring that PRIME and other required documentation is up-to-date and appropriately stored.
Identify opportunities, drive best practices, and build / maintain tools for tracking and resolving events on the IL well managed team
Identify trends, analyze information, and deeply understand the supported risk event portfolio
Analyze and interpret metrics and reporting
Serve as the central point of contact for IL control issues bringing together business intent creators, 3rd parties, legal, and compliance to resolve issues
Collaborates with teammates and stakeholders to drive resolution.
Communicates updates with internal customers on new or existing processes; may include communications to senior leaders and executives.
Ability to understand and articulate complex processes and alignment to policy/regulatory requirements.
Strong ability to create and deliver verbal and written communications between business partners
Deep understanding of risks and ability to communicate and evaluate the appropriateness of mitigating activities
Executes on governance and reporting processes to ensure our stakeholders are aware of key results
High school diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 1 year of experience with Google Slides and Google Sheets
At least 2 years of experience in Risk, Process or Project Management
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
4+ years of experience in Process or Project Management
2+ years experience in Risk Management
2+ years in event management
1+ years experience in PRIME
1+ years of Agile experience
1+ years experience with root cause analysis
1+ years experience in management of a governance process
