Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Administration of Justice, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or related field or the equivalent is required plus a minimum of 8 years relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years relevant experience. General Dynamics experience is strongly preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Recognized as an authority in your area of specialization, the Sr Advanced Security Specialist will participate in the administration and coordination of one or more security programs/activities to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. This will include identifying program issues and implementing corrective actions, conducting security briefings, maintaining security education programs and planning for new security programs, including proposal preparation. Additionally, we will rely on you to provide leadership to a team, including their training and development as well as partner with various government agencies to ensure corporation is compliant with directives and regulations and obtains rulings, interpretations and deviations, as appropriate.

What you'll be doing

• Work security issues with the Directorates and Offices in physical, personnel, operational, technical, information, industrial and information system security
• Provide assistance to defense contractors in all industrial security disciplines
• Be successful in a fast-paced environment where priorities change constantly
• Must be able to multi-task
• Demonstrated ability to perform Classification Reviews
• Demonstrated ability to review and prepare DD 254s
• Provide security oversight and management to subcontractors and subordinate business units via the DD Form 254 or other contractual methods.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate Co-Use Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding
• Coordinate and prepare Security Service Requests per Customer instructions
• Provide assistance to defense contractors on personnel security related issues; perform briefings/debriefs, and review program related information for proper markings in accordance with Executive Order 13526
• Administering the security procedures (NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07 series, Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, and JSIG), as they relate to operating in a classified environment for: personnel processing, media control, marking and control of documents / materials, security education, visitor control, destruction of classified.
• Develop, prepare, and implement local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Operations Security (OPSEC) Plans, and proprietary test plans utilizing risk management principles.
• Implement a media control program in accordance with requirements.
• Maintain a secure facility in accordance with (IAW) ICD 705.
• Oversee the specialized procedures for the transmission of classified and/or proprietary material/information.
• Maintain a visitor control program.
• Conduct and/or participate in internal reviews and/or Government inspections.
• Investigate security infractions/violations and prepare reports specifying the potential for loss or compromise and the associated risk to the program(s).
• Collaborate and assist the ISSO / ISSM on implementation of customer requirements.
• Other duties as necessary

What you bring to the table:

• A Bachelor's degree in Administration of Justice, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or related field or the equivalent plus a minimum of 8 years relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years relevant experience
• Tactical understanding of security principles in specialized field
• Exceptional knowledge of all security policies and procedures and ability to interpret security requirements and apply them consistently across diverse situations
• Strong knowledge and experience in specialized area of expertise to include Department of Defense (DOD), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Programs (SAP) (PSD)
