The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. The Opportunity:
This position is for a Program manager that will have responsibility for managing the Prime Product Distribution Process and Enterprise initiatives that impact PSLD. The selected candidate will be required to understand how prime products are transported, manage incoming enhancement requests, and delegate work to project managers for implementation. The candidate will also be responsible for reporting the status to leadership. The second responsibility of this position is to manage Enterprise initiatives that require work within PSLD (example: ERP migrations). To achieve these goals, the selected candidate must collaborate with developers, architects, and business process experts to complete the program goals. They will be required to use both waterfall and agile methodologies to deliver results.
Job Duties / Responsibilities:

• Establish, manage, and drive the completion of goals through structured projects
• Structure programs appropriately and lead/delegate work appropriately
• Develop project estimates, get approval, and launch projects
• Manage and report enhancement requests associated with Prime Produce Distribution
• Manage and report major initiatives driven by other parts of the business
• Manage project budgets and timelines
• Execute resource planning
• Work with Agile Teams
• Perform stakeholder management and provide ongoing project updates

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Over 4 years of experience as a project manager or comparable leadership role
• Experience working with global teams and custom-built applications
• 3 years of experience with the software development Lifecycle
• Experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies
• Must be open to and able to learn complex business processes
• Experience with data integration with 3rd party applications
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Top Candidates will also have:

• Master's degree
• PMP certification
• Experience with Transportation, Logistics, or EDI
• Strong Organization and Planning skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead change
