Quality Control Specialist Responsibilities:

The QC Specialist will be part of Solutions group within the Morgan Stanley at Work organization. The Solutions Group is composed of subject matter experts who provide business input to Product, design guidance and well adapted solutions to Clients on a global and vast areas of Equity Plans challenges. The candidate will work cross-functionally towards a goal of successful end-to-end delivery of onboarding projects bringing a willingness to do what it takes to get onboarding projects done in a timely and accurate manner. The candidate will build exceptional relationships with both immediate and cross-functional teams and thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment focusing on all aspects of client readiness and support for clients as they move through the full lifecycle of implementation activities onto the Morgan Stanley at Work equity administration platforms.

This position is responsible for the delivery of implementations which meet the highest standard both from a plan configuration and from a regulatory perspective. The candidate will need a strong understanding of equity plans and end to end internal processes to be successful.

The candidate must have technical expertise in testing, including the ability to develop and complete test cases, identify/document defects, and report on testing results. The candidate must be driven, organized, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills. This position requires the ability to understand complex software and business concepts.

The Quality Control Specialist:

  • Planning and performing end-to-end quality control activities (configuration review and validation) with consideration for level of effort, deadlines, costs / budget
  • Collaborating with business units and other technical areas to understand system requirements and ensure the completion of effective and accurate system configuration
  • Developing detailed and well-structured Quality Management documentation, including validation plans, use cases, validation scripts, and final validation reports
  • Providing regular status reports on risks, issues, and dependencies to team leadership
  • Identifying, analyzing, and monitoring system issues and defects to ensure timely resolution
  • Achieving overall technical and functional acceptance and overall approval
  • Tracking and communicating quality assurance metrics for the review and validation processes
  • Ensuring quality control strategy and process is in alignment with industry best practices
  • Determining and presenting potential areas of improvement for quality control process and standards
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and eliminate manual intervention



Qualifications:

  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, or related fields
  • 4+ years of testing experience, preferably with customer-facing software
  • Experience in large-scale system development projects (including using test strategy and developing and executing on test scripts and test plans)
  • Specific knowledge of equity compensation products
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment with proficiency in JIRA or related systems
  • Robust knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise test plans, test cases, and testing strategies
  • Strong technical aptitude and analytical mindset
  • Excellent communication skills necessary to interact with internal stakeholders with proven success working in highly collaborative, team-centric environments
  • Extremely proficient in MS Office (Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Access & Outlook)
