We are currently seeking a Manager, Connectivity Solutions to join our Endoscopy Communications Division. This is a fully remote position.

What you will do

As a Manager, Connectivity Solutions you will provide internal direction, leadership, and accountability for project IT services, including customer site readiness, installation and service for Stryker's Electronic Medical Record workflow and hospital network integration platforms. This position will partner with leadership across Sales, Marketing, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Customer Service, Technical Support and Finance to create scalable support mechanisms for existing and new software solutions.

  • Drives and strengthens customer relationships to build loyalty towards Stryker products and services
  • Manages, develops, coaches, and mentors a team of IT Project Managers, System Support Engineers and System Support Technicians who configure, install and service Stryker hospital software integration platforms in the field and remotely.
  • Designs, implements, and assesses the effectiveness of standardized integration, installation and support processes and procedures for Software Integration activities.
  • Drives project profitability, customer engagement and quality through people development and resource management.
  • Drives local sales engagement and enablement including execution of Communications strategic initiatives and customer engagement campaigns/ programs
  • Ensures local commercial and operational activities are aligned and coordinated with Communications leadership team to deliver agreed upon goals and strategies as communicated by all Endoscopy Division BU's
  • Builds, develops, and grows Software Integration team to deliver on operational commitments made to customers in terms of customer satisfaction, speed, quality, cost, and safety
  • Aligns with Field Operations to facilitate exceptional customer experience in conjunction with installation and project management
  • Uses industry-standard knowledge to influence marketing and commercial direction with remote device management.
  • Coordinates with Stryker's legal department on proper implementation of health information system products and how they apply to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
  • Collaborates with Product Engineering, Marketing, Research and Development and Quality departments on changes to improve systems and configurations; recommends hardware or software requirements.
  • Collaborate with Training team to implement and maintain training required for the execution of Software Integration activities in alignment with the overall program for technical proficiency levels.
  • Provide guidance and feedback on the quality of Software Integration activities to divisional and BU leadership, and provide recommendations on how training and/or process changes can improve execution
  • Works with Communications leadership team to grow Software Integration services internationally.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.


What you need

  • 8+ years relevant management experience leading/developing software services teams required
  • Proven ability to identify, develop, coach and mentor new and existing technical talent
  • Strategic thinking with hands-on mentality
  • Ability to set direction clearly and confidently in achieving both short- and long-term goals
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with high level business leaders in multiple functional areas.
  • Ability to operate in a complex matrix environment, leveraging internal and external partners to meet the needs of the business.
  • Must be able to manage time, projects, stress, and conflict
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the basic principles, theories, concepts, and practices in the applicable area of engineering/ technical specialization.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication, conflict management and people management.
  • Ability to analyze network plans and communicate network architecture requirements.
  • Experience with audio/video technologies including, but not limited to: Encoding, Compression, MPEG 1/2/4, H.264, H.323, IPTV, and IP streaming preferred.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture preferred.
  • Knowledge of HL7 preferred.
  • IT or Medical Device background preferred.


Bachelor's Degree Preferred

25% travel required
