The Engagement Manager oversees and manages relationships with one or more customers throughout ongoing Infrastructure Solutions engagements. This position manages the overall service delivery and serves as the primary escalation point and customer sponsor.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages and oversees multiple simultaneous projects with one or more customers
  • Manages overall service delivery and customer escalation
  • Works with customers on maintaining technical roadmaps, initiatives, and long-term planning
  • Drives overall customer satisfaction, scope control and general engagement satisfaction
  • Looks for and identifies additional follow on client opportunities that surface in the course of their project work, and keeps the CRM up to date with status given direction/input from others on the team
  • Builds work plans, timelines, and schedule development tasks for multiple large, high complexity projects
  • Builds and maintains resource estimates in partnership with Client Executive and the ultimate project owner across multiple large, high complexity projects
  • Works with Services management, Services operations, and Sales on staffing and pipeline activity
  • Serves as Project Manager & owns key milestones on medium-sized/moderately complex projects. Executes milestones such as: Internal Kick-off meetings, Client Kick off meetings, Day 1 Assessment, Mid Project Assessment, Project Closure and Follow on Work
  • Accountable for contract compliance on medium -to- complex projects/programs
  • Accountable for identifying and reporting project variances to timeline, budgets and deliverables across multiple large, high complexity projects
  • Proactively brings proven and tested recommendations for issue and risk mitigation, often working directly with the client on issues and risks, and gaining agreement for changes
  • Works with Account team on critical path issues that have budget, resource and client impacts
  • Leverages the Stakeholder analysis to help with the issue and risk mitigation activities; may conduct stakeholder interviews on the project
  • Interacts with senior client stakeholders on a regular basis (Sr. Director and VP)
  • Tracks and manages engagements to the SOW and maintains project financials across multiple large-sized/ medium to high complexity projects
  • Builds and uses time tracking tools to monitor overall budgets across multiple large, high complexity projects
  • Updates critical path and cascading dependencies to re-cast the project plan as needed
  • Enhances Sirius' project planning/timeline capability by educating others & enhancing tools
  • Provides Quality Assurance for project plans and resource estimates for other teams' projects
  • Establishes standards, targets, and measures for products, processes and services based on knowledge and evolving marketplace. Is considered an SME in Quality management/control at Sirius
  • Directs and participates in formal customer sessions including steering committees and launch teams
  • Complies with all time compliance and time entry guidelines
  • Meets billable utilization targets
  • Training/Certifications: Attend training sessions or shadowing activities, and obtain industry related certifications as determined by management


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or a related field
  • At least three (3) years of IT project management experience dealing with Infrastructure Solutions

Other Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding of contracts, project planning, the infrastructure development lifecycle and ITIL processes and product offerings
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in difficult conversations with project teams and clients on issues, risks and escalations
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage Stakeholder and Impact Analysis to help with the issue and risk mitigation activities on overall user/client adoption
  • Demonstrated ability to establish positive working relationships and contribute to measurable team and/or organizational objectives in a consulting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to set and prioritize goals and pursue them to completion
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and ensure that others input is gathered and discussed
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Resourceful in working with disparate client and internal departments to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Demonstrated ability to provide day-to-day guidance to less experienced project team members, including acting as an SME on project planning, resource estimation, and quality control

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of IT project management experience dealing with Infrastructure Solutions
  • PMP certification

Essential Functions
The position exists to provide technical project management consulting solutions to customers and as such requires the ability to travel to and from customer sites and interact with customers on an ongoing and regular basis
