SHORT DESCRIPTION
Job Description:
Provide technical support and oversight for all machine area equipment including performing routine and repair service on all mailing inserting equipment, wafer seal machines, inkjet machines, perfect binders, trimmers, folders and flat cutters. Responsible for sourcing parts and supplies. Must be able to effectively run machines and follow processes when production volume warrants.
• Assist in monitoring workers on site during production activities to ensure adherence to ethics and safety procedures• Assist in evaluating manufacturing equipment for safety and functionality• Assist in ensuring that products and goods manufactured meet quality standards obtainable in the industry• Assist in motivating workers to enhance production quantity and at the same time maintain high production standards• Assist in checking finished products to ensure quality, and that industry standards are met before they are declared ready for use• Keep records of equipment, deliveries, and supplies, and make them available to management upon request• Work as liaison between workers and management to create healthy communication• Assist with scheduling for the execution of projects in a timely manner• Ensure that work materials are present when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
General Education and Work Requirements
Education Level Equivalent to one year trade school, technical school, or junior college
Reasoning Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
Mathematics Able to perform arithmetic, algebraic, and geometric procedures in standard practical applications.
Language Able to read and interpret work instructions. Read safety rules, instructions in the use and maintenance of shop tools and equipment and methods and procedures in mechanical drawing and layout work. Able to communicate effectively in writing using proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, using all parts of speech.
Specific Vocational Prep Over 1 year up to and including 2 years
Personal Protective Equipment over 2/3 of the time
