Job Description

You

As a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator at Octo, you should have a mastery of ServiceNow administration, and the skills and essential knowledge needed to manage the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of the ServiceNow system. This administrator will be relied up on for their subject matter expertise, and must have extensive IT experience in the analysis, design, and integration of information systems and COTS and development software.

Program Mission

Support a federal government client on operations, maintenance, monitoring of their networks and systems that are deployed across the United States. This is a distributed environment and will involve support for new technologies and solutions.

Skills & Requirements
Responsibilities

  • Manage and be responsible for all aspects of ServiceNow for the client, meeting all SLAs
  • Maintain the Service Catalog and Service Portal
  • Manage platform upgrades for major and minor releases
  • Manage the administration of on-going development and maintenance to the ServiceNow environment
  • Develop custom applications, workflows, and processes
  • Manage Performance Analytics dashboard
  • Research and prioritize new ServiceNow development projects
  • Support ITIL processes across the ServiceNow platform
  • Provide end user training tutorials for use of the ServiceNow platform
  • Evaluate cost factors and risk, and escalate appropriately
  • Provide routine and ad-hoc reporting to senior management


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of related experience. Must have ServiceNow certification.
  • Skills, knowledge, and experience to manage the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of operational workflows, and experience with business process reengineering
  • Understand structured analysis and design methodologies for the translation of systems requirements from business needs
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills regarding system issues
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures
  • Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to technology
  • Ability to adapt well to diverse environments
  • Ability to communicate clearly with all levels in an organization
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including collaboration skills; being adept at customer relationship management
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and quality assurance skills
  • Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
  • Must be able to use a computer
  • Must be eligible to work in the US
  • Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting as needed


Desired Skills:

  • Experience with process development and deployment
  • Experience supporting Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Inspector General, or other Federal government agencies
  • Experience with Web Service Integration (API Web Services)
  • Experience with ServiceNow Development APIs


Years of Experience: 5+ years of applications experience in the relevant technology environment. Must have ServiceNow certification.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related scientific / technical discipline (or 8 additional years of experience in lieu of degree).

Location: Washington, DC(onsite at client location) Remote and on-call responsibilities may be required.

Clearance: Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
