About the job
The Red Hat IT team is looking for a dedicated ServiceNow Administrator to maintain the stability and usability of the ServiceNow platform. In this role, you will be part of the ServiceNow Platform Architecture and Support team in the Service Management Office. You will perform platform maintenance, manage support related to ServiceNow applications, and contribute to ServiceNow software releases by delivering configuration tasks and features.
As a ServiceNow Administrator, you will work in a fast-paced agile environment. You will administer and support multiple ServiceNow instances to meet the unique business needs of our users and developers. You will work with cross-functional teams including architects, business analysts, developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand and provide solutions across different applications on the ServiceNow platform, including service catalogs on the service portal, custom apps, and key Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes like request, incident, problem, change, knowledge, and other critical applications for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), SecOps, IT Management for Business (ITBM), configuration management database (CMDB), and Discovery. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do
- Configure and develop on the ServiceNow platform including routine changes or configuration adjustments as requested by Red Hat associates
- Provision, install, configure, operate, and maintain the ServiceNow platform
- Participate in the configuration of new applications or suites during planning, requirement gathering, design, development, documentation, and rollout phases
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of ServiceNow applications
- Collaborate with Platform and Delivery teams to perform ServiceNow upgrades and patching
- Coordinate system updates across different instances, ensuring latest patches and configuration changes
- Assist with report configuration, dashboards, and maintenance and perform operational administrative tasks as needed
- Proactively collaborate with other teammates to perform code reviews, discuss new developments and projects, and shadow other junior administrators and developers as needed
- Support the administration for production and non-production instances
- Collaborate with the Production Support and ServiceNow Operation teams to monitor support cases
- Support ServiceNow agile software releases
- Document administrative processes and issues resolution
- Participate in the daily scrum meetings and other related agile ceremonies
- Be responsible for performing daily administration, issue resolution, and troubleshooting of the ServiceNow platform for any reported problems across all instances
What you will bring
- 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow platform administration
- 3+ years of experience with Application Experience, e.g., incident, problem, change management, knowledge, service catalog, IT Operations Management (ITOM) and CMDB, SecOps, ITBM
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator qualification
- Solid experience in system administration
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Experience diagnosing performance-related issues
- Experience with ServiceNow development and administration or integration is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or 12+ years of work experience is a plus
