About the Team:

FIS™ Private Capital Suite, our private equity accounting and reporting solution, unifies fragmented data, automates complex processes, and supports smarter accounting while reducing costs, errors and pressure for our client’s teams.

As a Platform Service Delivery Owner, you are accountable for end to end delivery and support of the application platform irrespective of whoever manages the underlying technology, people, and process across FIS. This role drives consistency, maturity, and operational improvements of applications in production. Allows the business to focus primarily on revenue and product enhancements, while the everyday operations are handled by focused and standardized practices.
 

What you will be doing:

  • Provide leadership and a single point of contact to the business executives and development on platform delivery and operations in private and public cloud.
  • Provide leadership for service delivery team including planning, coaching, recruitment, selection, performance development and mentoring etc.
  • Active participant at the product management forums
  • Understands and documents all platform configurations and dependencies driving key platform management decisions and triage when an incident occurs
  • Supporting Sales team on pricing around platform delivery and support
  • Automated deployments and services around platform operations
  • Building Site Reliability Engineering practices in the team
  • Operational readiness acceptance
  • Change Management review and approvals
  • Ensure the right level of monitoring coverage is in place
  • Capacity management and planning interface and participation
  • Ensure tier of service requirements and deployment patterns are defined and matched
  • Ongoing trending and tuning of the platform
  • Ensure disaster recovery is kept up to date and participate in recovery testing exercise
  • Incident management recovery lead and problem management
  • Assists client support teams with communication on delivery and operations
  • Provide periodic operations cadence reporting to the management
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Requires strong management, organizational, team building, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Requires strong business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long-term vision and executive presence
  • Considerable knowledge of all operations lifecycle phases, e.g., requirements definition, risk management, implementation, deployment, maintenance
  • Considerable knowledge of IT production administration and operations activities and controls in private and public cloud (Azure and AWS) environments
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and integrated controls
  • Experience in information technology networks, systems, peripherals and software applications on Windows and Linux environments.
  • Knowledge and Experience in Deployment tools e.g. Jenkins, Ansible, Splunk, Dynatrace, containerization etc.
  • Knowledge of all types of testing, e.g., unit, component, integration, system
  • Knowledge or experience on FIS products or financial services technologies is a plus
  • Ability to formulate, implement and evaluate plans, programs and procedures applicable to the information processing operations
  • Proven ability to function in an environment that requires flexibility, good judgment and sound decision-making, often based on limited information and/or under extreme conditions
  • Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner appropriate to audience including executive levels
  • Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management (internally/externally), employees, and clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Computer Science or Engineering Degree is essential
  • Experience in FinTech space desirable
  • Experience in both private and public cloud deployment
