Job Description

The Senior Wire Specialist is primarily responsible for processing the more advanced/complex wire transactions for internal and external customers and ensuring all daily procedures are completed in a timely manner and accordance with federal regulations and Bank policy. The work of this position is time sensitive and governed by internal and regulatory compliance guidelines. This position may assist in performing some of the daily duties of the Wire Transfer Coordinator when the volume is heavy and will serve as the backup in their absence. Time percentages may vary.

How You'll Spend Your Time

• You will ensure all wires are processed in a timely manner, debiting and crediting DDA and general ledger accounts, while maintaining compliance with federal regulations, Bank Secrecy Act, and bank policy.
• You will mitigate risk by notifying the appropriate party of suspicious activity.
• You will use your knowledge of federal regulation and bank policy to set up fund transfer agreements or scheduled/repetitive/sweep wires, issue PIN numbers, and process internal authorization forms.
• You will provide customer service by problem solving and/or providing information on issues such as payment orders, laws and regulations, deadlines, subpoena requests and/or customer inquiries.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of an Associate's Degree in Business and 2-3 years experience in wire transfer or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
