Position Summary:
In this highly visible and impactful role, the Senior Tradeshow & Events Manager, reporting to the Director, Events, will be responsible for managing PointClickCare's tradeshows and related sponsorship programs. The senior manager will collaborate with the Director, Events and Sales and Marketing teams to identify and plan all annual shows. In addition, the senior manager will be responsible for reporting on success, outcomes of show participation, by show, quarterly & annually. The senior manager will manage the Tradeshow & Events Manager, providing guidance and support, along with annual performance reviews. Budget management of the overall program is a requirement in this role. The Senior Tradeshow & Events Manager will also oversee the exhibit program for PointClickCare’s annual user conference.
 
Key Responsibilities:
· Expertly lead and develop the National tradeshow program, and oversee the sponsorship program. Must have strong relationship management skills to negotiate best opportunities, pricing and services.
· Oversee Tradeshow & Event Manager activities wrt collaboration with Marketing Segment Managers and cross functional teams to develop lead generation, pre-show, and post-show communication and survey strategies
· Critical thinker as senior event lead in internal meetings to determine tradeshow events and themes.
· Expertly plan and oversee meetings pre & post debrief.
· Management of overall event budgets (Allocadia experience an asset but not mandatory)
· Project management of event activities in Kapost (Kapost experience an asset but not mandatory)
· Manage event-related contracts and payments of each subcontracted vendor as necessary. Document budgets, POs, accruals for budget accuracy.
 
Works cross functionally with:
Sales, Customer Support, Corporate Development, Finance, ELT (when required) and all teams within Marketing.
 
To be successful in this role the following will be key indicators:
· Ability to lead and take ownership of tradeshows & events at a senior level with minimal supervision
· Improved event management processes are incorporated in to key events
· Increased attendance = leads/revenue, at events through initiatives and improvements
· Internal clients are confident in role for senior event support as Tradeshow SME
 
Education Requirements:
· Post-secondary education or 10+ years relevant work experience
 
Required Experience:
· Senior event management of tradeshows, ranging from regional shows to large booths (10x20 – 50x50).
· Experience with corporate events from 100 to 2000+ attendees
· 10+ years event experience, should include 4-5 year senior event/leadership experience
· Highly organized, with excellent project management skills working with cross functional teams
· Experience working closely and professionally with tradeshow partners, hotel staff, DMCs, CVBs and site selection companies.
· Ability to function and lead a team at a senior level in high stress situations. Grace under pressure.
· Self-motivated and directed person, requiring minimal supervision
· Excellent communicator and team collaborator
· Strong relationship management skills. Ability to work with all levels of staff, vendors and business partners.
· Team player, able to jump in and support any aspect of event activities when required
