The Project Procurement organization is responsible for sourcing all hardware, software, and services to support customer projects.
Job Description
The Senior Software Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing all the procurement activities for the Software Enterprise Team and all the Direct Embedded Software for the Company.
In this role, key responsibilities will include:
Lead the Software Procurement Organization Activities while working very closely with the all the Software Product Teams and Business leaders and making sure there is alignment with their business strategies for revenue growth and margin goals.
Lead the team in setting long term commercial strategic direction for all Software categories
Lead and manage the work of purchasing and procurement managers across different projects and businesses.
Influencing business stakeholders in support of Procurement initiatives
Institute initiatives with the team for collecting and reporting key metrics that will reduce our overall expenses while increasing productivity and improve margins.
Develop strong relationships with senior leadership and suppliers
Lead the team to structure strategic commercial negotiations, agreements, SLAs and total cost of ownership in ways that optimize expenditures, operating expenses, cash flow, and reduce risk.
Provide subject matter expertise on complex purchasing, legal & contractual issues.
Commit and Achieve Annual targets for cost reductions aligned with the business leaders.
Lead the team in performing supplier relationship management and reviews with focus in performance, risk management, quality and value added activities.
Actively seeks input from internal/external customers to better understand their needs as well as their reaction to the organization's business plans.
Lead the team in the reporting and forecasting category spend and savings
Qualifications:
Strong Business acumen
Experience working in a large, complex, global business
Competency in developing business analysis and strategy formulation
Experience in leading and managing teams
Experience in managing complex strategic sourcing and RFx projects
Lead contract negotiations without much Legal guidance
Ability to support large/complex supplier deals and negotiations
Proven track record of identifying cost reduction opportunities and driving financial benefit to the business
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner and engage with senior leaders in addressing complex business issues
Ability to interact with and present up to Director/VP Levels
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Core data and analytic skills
Financial modeling experience is an asset
Supplier and customer oriented skills
Collaborative, high energy individual

Basic Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business or Engineering)
8 years of Procurement Category Management or other relevant experience
IT, Software or Technology experience
