Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking a Sr. Program Manager of Data Quality for the Inbound Transportation Team based in Dania Beach, FL. He/she will set the strategy and build out a data quality program to support all Inbound Shipments from vendor to Chewy Fulfiment Centers. This includes Parcel, LTL, Truckload, Intermodal, Ocean and Air shipments that move daily to support our Domestic and International Freight network. Core functions include: Data integreity, data capture, Developing BI tables, Reporting, Freight Payment, Carrier score card and Compliance.  The Sr. Program Manager will be required to have advanced understanding of emerging technologies and systems development.  This is a rare opportunity to work side by side with smart, passionate, and highly motivated entrepreneurs in an amazing environment as we work together to be the most trusted and convenient online destination for pet parents (and partners) everywhere. We are looking for someone who has a passion for working with Big Data and a background in Transportation. 


What You’ll Do:

  • Design, Build and Own data program end-to-end for the Chewy Inbound Transportation network
  • Develop and launch a compliance program for FourKites GPS tracking and carrier EDI
  • Work with outside partners to develop data dumps while scrubbing data for gaps or bad data (remove outliers)
  • Provide all levels of the company with weekly updates on projects and program performance
  • Work cross functionally with key stake holders to source data, build visibility and influence others
  • Collaborate with third party, carriers and finance to develop a Freight Pay program
  • Define a clear vision and strategy in order to communicate expectations and drive execution
  • Hold key partners accountable to drive results by being available, removing barriers/obstacles & facilitating change
  • Responsible for follow-up with partners once new solutions are moved to production to ensure completion
  • Develop document standards to include specific mapping rules/logic
  • Evaluate and maintain KPI’s for Transportation carriers and drive higher compliance to receive carrier data
  • Manage projects and develop supply chain capabilities with little direction
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies within the data program

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5+ years supply chain experience, specifically in Transportation/Logistics
  • Experience working and analizing data and consolidating multiple data sources to create a centralized data warehouse
  • Proven ability to deliver results and hit deadlines for projects
  • Strong understanding of Transportation, network planning, Inbound flow, and carrier management
  • Demonstrated ability to independently take ownership of initiatives and drive execution
  • Experience identifying trends, tracking KPI’s, creating and reporting on freight metrics
  • Able to develop tools, dashboards and reports to enhance network visibility on cost & service (source input data)
  • Detail oriented and possesses superior organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, v-lookups, Macros, Forecasting, Data Manipulation, Formulas, etc.)
  • Experience working with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM)
  • Self-motivated, high energy, aggressive and proactive on fixing processes & troubleshooting issues
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and lead in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of EDI retail and transportation transaction sets (846,850, 855, 810, 856, 860,204, 214, 310, 315, 753, 754, 990 997, etc.) and trading partnerships (ANSI X12)

Bonus (if applicable):

  • Experience onsite at warehouses, DC’s or Fulfillment Centers
  • E-commerce, retail, CPG, manufacturing or startup experience is a plus
  • MBA, Masters, Advanced Degree or APICS certification
  • Proficient in Visio, SQL, Tableau, OTM (Oracle Transportation Management) and HighJump
  • Experience working with SPS Commerce/IBM Sterling preferred or any EDI VAN
