ABOUT THE ROLE


This Procurement Manager role will be the first hire in Side’s growing Procurement function reporting to the Controller. The Procurement Manager will have the opportunity to develop Side’s procurement strategy, working with cross-functional teams to ensure the optimization of costs and services delivered across multiple categories while being responsible for creating sourcing strategies and direction for third-party spend. The Procurement Manager will be expected to own cost optimization strategies through innovative sourcing techniques and ongoing vendor management/governance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design and implement a Procurement policy to establish appropriate guardrails over Company purchasing and spend; administer the Procurement policy for Company-wide adoption and compliance
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to strategically optimize the purchasing process 
  • Lead sourcing events (e.g. RFI, RFP, etc.), vendor selection, negotiation, and contract renewal efforts; monitor spend by vendor while proactively negotiating favorable pricing as volume increases; measure and track internal cost savings to drive efficiencies
  • Collaborate with the Legal department to execute NDAs, MSAs, and SOWs; team with Finance and Accounting to determine P&L mapping and budget ramifications of new vendors and contracts
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure banking, credit card, travel booking, and employee reimbursement tools are built to scale in conjunction with the ‘Procure to Pay’ process; assist Accounts Payable with onboarding new vendors

AN IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD HAVE:

  • A Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or partner management
  • Extensive technology contract experience with Hosting, SaaS, Subscription and Cloud infrastructure providers strongly desired
  • Strong analytical skills for cost modeling, quote analysis, and supplier selection
  • A collaborative style and proven track record of building successful relationships with stakeholders and suppliers across different departments
  • Ability to build rapport and support senior leaders across different departments
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in leading process, internal control, and tool development
  • Workday procurement module experience is a huge plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills (i.e. cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier selection)
