The Senior Parts Inventory Specialist Lead will assist with running the Service Logistics Operations. Primary duties will include purchasing parts inventory to proper stock levels, working with Service Logistics Manager to improve efficiencies in storage and distribution of parts, managing parts cost when possible, processing parts associated with service calls, processing warranty submissions, stocking, shipping and receiving of parts.

Essential Functions:

  • Create purchase orders in E-Automate and receive parts
  • Create item numbers in E-Automate
  • Process parts transfer requests to maintain inventory integrity
  • Assist with cycle counts of parts and supplies and quarterly tech inventories
  • Conduct Warranty research and file warranty claims 
  • Help to maintain a clean and professional physical appearance of the parts area
  • Profile parts are once a quarter based on parts usage
  • Help increase inventory turns by utilizing parts in field instead of purchasing when possible
  • Safely operate pallet-jack and forklift (may require certification)
  • Follow up on back-ordered parts with vendors and escalate orders when necessary
  • Work with Region Service Managers and Field Service Supervisors to obtain approval based on technicians' authorized spending levels
  • Manage the technician ship to locations document
  • Embody the Centric Way

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Primary back-up for Service Logistics Manager
  • Serve as backup for Parts Logistics Associate
  • Assist shop technicians when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)

  • Prior experience in logistics and supply chain support is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Excel and Word
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional and courteous demeanor
  • Must have valid state driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
