Description

SAIC is hiring a Senior National Security Analyst Executive Management Specialist with an active Top Secret/SSBI clearance to assist in the management and analytical support to a wide range of actions in the Office of the Secretary of Defense in the area of nuclear weapons operations, effects, requirements, and policy; chemical and biological defense programs; and CWMD threat reduction and arms control in support of principals committees and associated sub-committees. This position is onsite at the Pentagon.

Daily responsibilities may include:

  • Provides executive management oversight over action suspenses, travel and budget financing and resourcing (must understand the Defense Travel System) and the OSD automated classified filing system.
  • Providing meeting and conference logistics support, to include presentation set-up and preparation; conference coordination and set-up; problem solving; security clearance processing; and interaction with flag-level government officials and their staffs.
  • Organizing and preparing meeting notebooks for flag-level committee principals, records meeting attendance and transcribes and coordinates meeting notes for minutes.
  • Assisting in compiling and developing relational databases and data reports and performs other management duties as required.
  • Contributing to research, preparation of, and tracking to completion of Congressionally mandated annual reports to the President of the United States and the Congress of the United States, signed by the Secretary of Defense, to include the Chairman's Annual Report to Congress, the Nuclear Weapons Stockpile Memorandum/Requirement's Planning Document, the Report on Stockpile Assessment, the Joint Surety Report and others, as required.


Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree; or eight (8) years of experience with a Master's Degree. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to confidently and credibly execute presentations at high levels and to harmonize and synchronize initiatives amongst the OSD, the Joint Staff and other Federal Departments and Agencies.
  • Demonstrated experience in the establishment of positive and productive work relationships with clients based on individual level of expertise, quality of work, personality, and ability to deliver desired products on time.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of U.S. nuclear weapons policy, chemical and biological weapons defense programs and arms control.
  • Management training and experience with ten years' experience working with people in a high paced setting.
  • Previous Pentagon and military experience a plus.

REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:

  • Current active TS/SSBI clearance a must.
