Corvus is seeking a Senior Manager, Security to help build and manage Corvus’ security program. The Senior Manager, working in collaboration with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), will be responsible for building and maintaining Corvus’ cyber defense controls to protect Corvus’s information and systems from cyber threats. This role will manage security engineering and vulnerability management for infrastructure, cloud and SaaS applications, and Corvus products. This position will work collaboratively with key Information Technology, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to protect against security threats and when necessary respond to security issues.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the CISO to develop and manage Corvus’ security strategy
  • Protect the safety and security of all Corvus information and systems
  • End-to-end ownership of cybersecurity initiatives
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud security standards and controls to protect cloud services like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Workspace, and SaaS providers
  • Work collaboratively with Product Engineering and DevOps to design, review, and implement Secure Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices
  • Automate, manage, and mature Corvus’ detection and response programs in conjunction with service providers and related technologies
    • Proactively monitor, analyze, and provide guidance on security vulnerabilities to support remediation activities
    • Investigate security events and recommend and implement solutions to remediate or mitigate residual risks
    • Develop and maintain documentation on cyber security operations, incident playbooks, process workflow, incident handling and response capabilities
  • Work closely with the GRC Manager to conduct audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Develop and improve security metrics that drive desired behavior and security outcomes
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with IT and Engineering to coordinate efforts to protect critical systems
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and changing threat landscape and review technologies/services and make recommendations to CISO
  • Serve as an advisor on common cybersecurity controls and related technologies for internal stakeholders and policyholders

Responsibilities 

  • 10+ years of professional experience in cyber security.
  • 5+ years building or managing a security program.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience securing cloud and SaaS platforms
    • Experience with AWS and Google Workspace preferred
  • Product security experience preferred
  • Working understanding of cyber security frameworks and regulatory standards such as NY DFS, NIST CSF, and CIS
  • Experience in incident response and incident management preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship skills
    • Ability to communicate security and risk implications to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Agility in dealing with a constantly changing business environment and areas of ambiguity
