Department OverviewThe Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team is the team that delivers solutions to the public safety sector. We are committed to providing technology and tools which will allow customers to focus on their mission, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. We deploy and support products such as Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Jail Management Systems and Mobile Data Computing, among other offerings.
Job Description
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
Acts as the overall lead in gathering and validating requirements and controls for new projects/products.
Acts as the primary owner of process structures as regards cybersecurity a bridge between the business focus of Product Line Management and the technical and process focus of Product Development.
Evaluates, analyzes, and develops business processes and methodologies to implement and enhance cost-effective standard operating procedures.
Audits existing procedures for effectiveness and compliance.
Investigates and develops solutions to operational business needs.
Ensures business operations support the strategic plan.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles used to manage risks related to the use, processing, storage and transmission of information or data (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).
Knowledge of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Personal Health Information (PHI) data security standards.
Skill in conducting reviews of systems, assessing security systems designs and security controls based on cybersecurity principles and tenets (e.g. NIST SP 800-53, ISO 27001, etc.).
Skill in performing impact / risk assessments (utilizing FAIR or other quantitative risk analysis methodologies)
Skill to identify cybersecurity and privacy issues that stem from connections with internal and external customers and partner organizations.
Skill and knowledge to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation)
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of professional experience in computer networking concepts and protocols, network security methodologies.
