The IT (Information Technology) Offensive Security Manager role requires ability to manage technologies, processes and people employed in the evaluation of cyber security controls in an enterprise environment. This role will use their cyber security skills and experience to lead a team of offensive security (Red/Purple) focused analysts as they evaluate the effectiveness of the enterprise's cybersecurity safeguards to ensure that they provide the intended level of protection.
Job Responsibilities, Skills and Knowledge

  • General managerial duties including resource coordination, career guidance, performance reviews, and general team member success advocacy.
  • Manage a diverse team including senior and junior security professionals and help grow the team skill set through mentoring and training.
  • Manage and prioritize the necessary resources, including leadership support, financial resources, and key security personnel, to support team goals and objectives and reduce overall organizational risk.
  • Facilitate decision analysis for product and tool selection as the team builds and maintains their "toolbox".
  • Skill in communicating with all levels of management (e.g., interpersonal skills, approachability, effective listening skills, appropriate use of style and language for the audience).
  • Understand the basic concepts and issues related to cyber Red team/Purple team/Blue team
  • Exercise judgment when policies are not well-defined.
  • Remain aware of new cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
  • Risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
  • Understanding of specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses.
  • Familiarity with system and application security threats and vulnerabilities (e.g., buffer overflow, cross-site scripting, covert channel, replay, malicious code, Open Web Application Security Project Top 10 list)
  • Ability to expand network access by conducting target analysis and collection to identify targets of interest.
  • Ability to identify/describe techniques/methods for conducting technical exploitation of the target.
  • Knowledge of cyber-attack stages (e.g., reconnaissance, scanning, enumeration, gaining access, escalation of privileges, maintaining access, network exploitation, covering tracks).
  • Target intelligence gathering and operational preparation techniques and life cycles.
  • Knowledge of the basic structure, architecture, and design of modern communication networks.
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems


Successful candidates for this position should also possess:

  • Conceptual and Analytical Thinking, Design Concepts, Problem Solving, Technology Innovation, Enterprise Perspective, Process Knowledge
  • Independent and self-directed, Virtual Remote Teaming, Time and productivity management skills Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to discuss technical issues and communicate risk in business-relevant language In Depth knowledge and understanding of tactics, techniques, and procedures used in large enterprise environments
  • Ability to react to high pressure dynamic changing environments


Other

  • Minimal travel as needed.
  • 10 + years' experience in Information Technology 5-9 + years' experience in Information Security
  • CISSP, OSCP or other industry recognized certifications preferred.
  • Government Top Secret security clearance preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience


The Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires that Micron Technology provide the compensation range offered for this position is performed in Colorado. The base salary range for this position in Colorado is $115,000 to $239,000
