Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity, assuming candidates have eligible working rights and a sufficient timezone overlap with their team. As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it’s necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

Are you an experienced GTM Strategy & Business Operations professional who thrives off driving long-term strategy development, strategic initiatives, and business performance across the sales and marketing organizations? Are you looking for a role where you'll be challenged to take an outside-in lens, identifying market trends to shape GTM strategies and major investments - all with a keen lens toward revenue? If so, read on!

About the team:

The Strategy & Business Operations team is a hardworking and collaborative team with an outstanding mix of backgrounds from the technology, consulting, and financial services industries. Our responsibilities include driving GTM strategy and growth, as well as leading the ongoing business operations that support this growth. We encourage decision-making at every level and highly value an open-minded approach and organizational transparency. We embed within leadership across multiple other functions including marketing, analytics, finance, sales, product, and more to support the company’s continued growth. You'll join a team that is not only intelligent, motivated, and passionate about Atlassian's products and customers, but also fun to work with.

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Formulate and present critical strategy recommendations to the executive team
  • Identify and size growth opportunities to advise go-to-market prioritization
  • Dive deep into data to determine meaningful insights
  • Drive customer and competitor research to help inform go-to-market strategy decisions
  • Transform findings into measurable recommendations, and work closely with cross functional teams to execute on the recommendations
  • Lead change by working closely with cross-functional partners across sales, marketing, finance, and analytics
  • Help executive GTM leaders manage the business and drive performance

  • On your first day we'll expect you to have:

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking/private equity, and/or a top-tier tech company in strategy, business operations, or growth
  • A strong understanding of enterprise sales, particularly in SaaS
  • Comfort with ambiguity and operating independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to both delve into the details and engage meaningfully on higher level strategy
  • Analytical rigor, ability to support decisions with data, and ability to draw insights from disparate information sources
  • A self-starter mentality, with the ability to drive work from conceptualization, to analysis, to recommendation and, at times, to implementation
  • Strong executive presence, polished communication skills, and ability to influence diverse stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency in Excel with experience using SQL

  • It's great, but not required if you have:

  • Experience in crafting and executing marketing and customer research via quantitative methods and experiments
  • Knowledge of BI tools and technologies (e.g. Tableau)
  • A deep understanding of Atlassian’s market, strategy, business model, and market best practices around enterprise SaaS sales and marketing.
