How You'll Make an Impact

The Sr. Manager, Franchising will be an integral part of the Franchising leadership team by providing the leadership needed to execute the strategy to accelerate Franchise growth. Reporting to the Vice President, Franchising, this leader will have overall responsibility for ensuring Valvoline is positioned favorably to deliver year over year new franchise unit targets, drive adoption of new proven services and/or models, and influence internal resource groups to ensure Valvoline is meeting the needs of our franchisees. In the role, you would be responsible for:

• Leading all aspects of franchise development execution, including:
  • Gaining alignment with key internal stakeholders and franchisees on franchise development areas and unit requirements
  • Partnering with each franchisee that has a development agreement to ensure an adequate pipeline to deliver required units
  • Serving as liaison between franchisee and corporate real estate/development on acquisition and group up unit support
• Partnering with operations, product strategy, and supply chain to successfully launch new products, services, models, etc. to the franchise community by:
  • Crafting sell in strategy to effectively gain adoption of new proven products and services to the franchise community
  • Coordinating with franchise operations and product strategy on launch approach and timeline
  • Providing real time feedback from franchisees to internal resource groups
  • Delivering on top line and profitability targets associated with new products, services, and models
• Building effective relationships with franchise leadership and serving as primary contact on all non-operational opportunities/challenges facing the franchise community
• Serving as primary franchise contact for internal resource groups and providing insights needed to influence future strategies and tactics to ensure franchise needs are identified and satisfied as we develop continued growth initiatives
• Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 7-10 years of business management experience
• A successful and hands-on track record of leading business units and achieving growth and profitability targets
• Great organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across business units to achieve initiatives
• Ability to interface with executive team members to influence the strategic direction needed with the franchise community
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce.com
• Ability to sit for approximately 80% of time time
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
