About the job
The Red Hat North America Public Sector (NAPS) Services team is looking for a Senior Manager to join us. In this role, you will serve as a senior leader within the Emerging Technologies Go-to-Market (ET GTM) NAPS Services team, collaborating with Sales and Services on innovative solutions and expertise for public sector customers. You'll work with a high-level, cross-functional team focused on services solutions, innovation, managing the emerging technology go-to-market strategy for a domain of NAPS Services. You will focus on aligning and coordinating with internal leadership teams to evolve the go-to-market strategy and delivery plan based on industry trends in support of Red Hat technology adoption. As a Senior Manager, you will provide leadership oversight and accountability for your functional area as well as your teams and programs. Your teams will be focused on innovative technology solutions, expertise and vision, and consulting field enablement as well as support to assist in managing the Services team into the coming years of success. You'll have the opportunity to work with technical experts throughout Red Hat and IBM in the fields of DevOps, site reliability engineering (SRE), digital transformation, hybrid cloud, modern application development, and change management. This is a remote position with intermittent travel to stakeholder and customer meetings as needed. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Develop, lead, and manage teams and programs in support of the NAPS Services ET GTM strategy
  • Grow services through the development of internal business partnerships with ET sales, services management, and field sales teams
  • Define, develop, and deliver on programs to increase solution innovation in support of Red Hat product adoption for NAPS customers
  • Develop and manage processes and procedures in support of escalations, hiring, and business delivery with your team
  • Coordinate with Red Hat's engineering, solutions architects and field business unit key stakeholders for feedback from NAPS customer-base direction
  • Assist in the strategy to define effective business solutions for your team with a focus on solutions, innovation, technical expertise, field enablement, and field support
  • Provide fulfillment strategies for solution focus areas and their alignments to current business trends to continue to increase innovation and next generational delivery
  • Gather and provide feedback from the field to solutions owners and relevant teams in order to continuously improve solutions and offerings
  • Communicate effectively with customer C-level executives to understand their business perspectives and communicate Red Hat's offerings and value
  • Manged, guide, and mentor managers and individual contributors within your team to assist in their career development


What you will bring

  • 8+ years of experience working in a services sales role; background in implementation
  • 5+ years of experience with enterprise software
  • 5+ years of experience building full-stack customer solutions to solve mission critical problems
  • History of working with executives to manage technical solutions across enterprises
  • Knowledge and understanding of DevOps, SRE, agile, lean, microservices, containers, Kubernetes, continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), public and hybrid cloud, automation, open practice library, and modern application development
  • Proven record of applying functional and digital knowledge to inspire and shape visions and roadmaps for transformation
  • Excellent communication consultative skills including questioning, active listening, team facilitation, and writing skills
  • Demonstrated executive relationship building skills
  • Experience with speaking in internal and external conferences and meetups
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%
