Role Overview

The Metrics Lead is responsible for developing, leading and driving the adoption of the Cybersecurity metrics program strategy. This role will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity and metrics-driven methodology to solve unique problems with broad impact and articulate a clear story to a wide range of audiences using complex data and information.

This role reports into the Associate Director, Information Security Business Operations and will be looked upon to lead the identification and implementation of key metrics, reports, and dashboards that provide visibility, insights, and accountability in our cyber security controls, and inform our strategy and operations with stakeholders ranging from technical teams to the Executive Level. This role will be managing a team of professionals within the Business Operations team.

Responsibilities
  • Defines a vision and strategy for the delivery of cybersecurity maturity and risk management metrics.
  • Develops a roadmap for strategic reporting of cybersecurity risk metrics and collaboration with key partners throughout the Enterprise.
  • Gathers client business requirements and partners with metrics team based on interpretation of findings and business client needs.
  • Translates requirements to technical details to build and validate use cases around an analytics metrics requirement and communicates them effectively.
  • Provides and communicates strategic insights and performance trends on connections between quantitative and qualitative data analysis results across the Enterprise.
  • Develops and maintains a prioritized backlog of metrics requirements for implementation according to strategic alignment.
  • Leads a team of data developers and provides guidance on data-driven storytelling and data visualization using tools like QLIK.
  • Deliver on sustained change; includes demonstrating strong change management, communication skills (written executive presentations and verbal brief delivery), influence, and maintaining stakeholder buy-in throughout.
  • Be a player/coach for a diverse and geographically dispersed team of technical and risk management operational professionals.

Qualifications
  • One or more advanced risk or security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM, CCSP, FAIR)
  • 7+ years of dynamic experience in cybersecurity, and data privacy and information risk.
  • Experience in research and data analysis, application of statistical research techniques, and application development that supports business decisions/outcomes.
  • Development expertise in analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, MS Excel, or others.
  • Applies new perspectives, solves problems creatively, and builds interconnections to improve analytical capabilities.
  • Superior change management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong executive writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience leading in a large, matrixed and global environment.

Education:
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 10 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum 7 years experience.
