Senior Manager, Customer Experience and Partnerships
The Business Development and Premium Benefits team within Capital One’s Upmarket line of business is largely about building external partner relationships to expand our premium customer value proposition and deliver engaging customer experiences to our Cardholders. Our team is fast-paced and growing and a Senior Manager is needed to assist with the strategic development and activation of our experiential based assets and partnerships.
Responsibilities will include:
Develop and deliver on our premium experiential strategy, assisting with the building and management of our overall events calendar
Serve as primary lead for all premium customer experiences - developing industry relationships, creating activation opportunities and enhancing our premium card value proposition
Collaborate with cross-functional business partners in development of experiential activations and value from existing partnership and sponsorships for the benefit of our premium customers
Manage internal operations including governance, contracting, reporting, and internal business reviews that highlight overall experiential strategy
Additional responsibilities will include:
Prospecting for potential partnerships
Working with internal stakeholders and LOBs to evaluate opportunities, negotiate and activate
Researching the marketplace for opportunities to help execute internal strategy
Manage internal and external RFP deadlines while supporting the RFP process for new partners across the organization
Competencies
Strong events/access/partnership experience
Strong strategic, analytical, project management, presentation, marketing and creative skills
Experienced in strategic planning and access based partnerships
Experienced in lifestyle verticals - Travel, Entertainment, Dining, Arts & Culture
Proven ability to work independently and demonstrate intellectual rigor
Organizational skills and effective time management to succeed in a competitive and dynamic environment
Ability to travel upwards of 30% of the time

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 5 years experience in Project Management
At least 5 years experience in Events Management
At least 3 years experience developing experiential activations and events strategies across in the Travel, Entertainment, Dining, Arts or culture verticals
At least 3 years experience in Partnership Management
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience within a Card & Benefits program
5+ years of events/hospitality experience
Experience with lifestyle and personal passion categories
