The Senior Informatics Technical Specialist for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for front-line contact with customers in delivering a software product that bridges laboratories' information systems and their analytical instrumentation.

This position is part of the Field Applications department and will be fully remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Informatics Team and report to the Manager of Informatics Solutions and will be responsible for filling key gaps in data management functionality, as well as integration of the automation, informatics, and LIS. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the informatics middleware solution.
  • Integrate the automation, informatics, and LIS to accomplish successful communication between all systems and establish successful analyzer, network, and LIS connectivity.
  • Define and communicate critical gaps and potential design improvements to the integration process.
  • Address the needs of each individual laboratory by writing custom algorithms that modify the informatics software accordingly.
  • Train customers on the operation of informatics products and the use of informatics software.
  • Manage and support customer satisfaction to sustain the growth of business.


The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Associates degree in science, IT, or Medical Technology with 3+ years of experience. Bachelor's Degree in science or equivalent experience in laboratory environment preferred.
  • Extensive travel (at least 85%) from Maine to South Carolina.
  • Holding a current valid driver's license and good driving record over the last three years. Associates who drive Beckman Coulter vehicles will follow the Danaher Company Vehicle Policy.


It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Programming, networking, databases, and/or LIS implementation/development.
  • Regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics.
