The Senior Educational Technology Specialist (SETS) supports sales productivity and deal flow by securing the "technical close" in complex solutions and assisting customers with questions regarding the technology Amplify leverages. The SETS collaborates with Sales, Implementation, Enrollment and Licensing, and Customer and Education Support Resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, and that are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers. This position reports to the Director, Strategic Technology, within the broader Customer Operations department at Amplify.
**This position will be based on West Coast hours
RESPONSIBILITIES:• In partnership with the Sales team, the SETS will coordinate activities with school districts, prioritizing efforts in order to maximize team productivity and profit, as directed by the Director, Strategic Technology.• Proactively scopes technical solutions required to address customer requirements, assesses customers' met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the company.• Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within different areas of the business. Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.• Coordinates closely with internal Sales, Sales Support, Customer Support Implementation, and Enrollment and Licensing to align solution design with customers' business requirements.• Provides training to the Sales team with the goal of enhancing their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.• Monitors the deployment of technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the Sales and Account teams of potential risks.• Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings in line with company standards.• This position requires outside travel to customers' premises, approximately 20% of the time.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in Education Technology
  • 6+ years of experience in K-12 Sales Engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and G-Suite


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in K-12 Teaching or Education Administration
  • Experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner
  • Background in Project Management (CAPM or PMP is a plus)
