Job Description

Your Career
We’re looking for a senior internal communications professional to build a central internal communications function for this fast-growing company. You’ll work directly with the leadership team and partner across the organization to develop and implement strategies to keep Palo Alto Networks’ employees and leaders connected as we grow. You’ll enjoy distilling the ideas and strategy of executives as much as you do understanding what employees need to know to be successful. And you’ll have many ideas of your own about how to establish and grow communications channels, track down interesting stories and people, and bringing culture to life.
Your Impact

  • Create a communication strategy that informs and engage employees throughout the organization and around the world
  • Develop an editorial calendar; track down and report out stories within the organization that help employees understand the strategy and their colleagues’ work 
  • Identify the right channels to create an employee base that is in-the-know and empowered
  • Work with leaders to determine messages, employee groups, and events
  • way things are done, and we’re looking for innovators who are as committed Communicate often within the organization and measure the results to understand and build engagement 
  • Drive all decisions back to the centralized strategy for internal communications, keeping things clear, organized, and engaging

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Communications, journalism, speechwriting or related experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (writing samples required)
  • Experience generating and overseeing first-rate communications to tight, constantly changing deadlines
  • Outstanding presentation skills with experience presenting to an executive audience
  • Strong team player and creative thinker; ability to influence without authority, build strong senior relationships to gain input and buy-in for design and implementation of changes
  • Highly organized and self-motivated individual
  • Experience with multiple platforms -- articles, presentations, podcasts, video -- preferred
