Our Operations team and Fulfillment Centers (FC’s) currently span 3 locations; Delanco, NJ, Salt Lake City, Utah and Dallas, TX. Together, our Ops/FC population is nearing 1000 people. With our rapid growth and fast paced operations, we have the need for a strategic, forward-thinking Operations leader for our Delanco, New Jersey facility. The Senior Director of Operations is responsible for optimal operational functions within the facility on a day-to-day basis as well as in planning effective operations whilst ensuring safe, efficient and accurate receipt, processing, packing and shipping of all product and customer orders with the highest possible focus on customer satisfaction. 

You will:

  • Lead a team of exempt and non-exempt associates in a manner consistent with Misfits Delanco FC culture
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments within the FC to address needs for the overall facility.
  • Manage Misfits' systems and processes to ensure that customer orders are produced with high quality, accuracy and efficiency
  • Create, train and roll out Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Continuously develop a safe operation through collaboration with Safety manager, HR
  • Use 5S principles and other facility leaders (including forklift operator certification and training)
  • Lead exempt team and develop talent through effective coaching and accountability measures
  • Develop a true servant-leader culture and a World Class work environment
  • Analyze complex data to identify trends and solve problems
  • Ensure that company policies are followed
  • Optimize business workflows
  • Create new company policies and processes where necessary in collaboration with HR/Safety/ Sr. Management etc. partners
  • Reduce costs in through creation of efficient and accurate processes throughout the facility
  • Monitor employee production and satisfaction; partnering with HR
  • Set team and individual goals
  • Enforce good manufacturing practice (GMP) throughout FC
  • Partner with Quality and Sanitation teams to ensure food safety parameters are met
  • Collaborate with HR partners and your exempt team to make recommendations on hiring, terminations, discipline, and promotions
  • Have full P&L responsibility for the Delanco facility 
  • Responsible for all aspect of the facility performance

You have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • 10+ years in production, fulfillment, or distribution environment
  • Strong supervisory and training skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and respond to concerns of managers and associates
  • Excellent writing, statistical, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Highly effective coaching skills with ability to create common cause among multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work off shifts and weekends as needed / requested
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous and fast paced environment
