We are looking for a new colleague in the Engineering Department at our location in Gainesville, Georgia

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop the process and tools needed to diagnose complex field complaints through collaboration with the OEM technical service personnel, OEM field Dealer personnel, and ZF personnel
  • Serve as a technical liaison to the customer for all service activities. Provide clarification and technical explanation of ZF product specifications, component functions, configurations, and backward compatibility
  • Devise new and unique approaches to servicing Axles and eMobility products using the ZF service-level approach as a basis
  • Support (on-site as necessary) any service issues arising during customer testing stages related to ZF product (including, but is not limited to, providing technical support for customer prototype and vehicle builds, vehicle tests, dynamometer and component tests, and ePowertrain integration projects)
  • Lead and participate in ZF continuous-improvement activities to test and assist with development of product, improve data analysis techniques, and develop new service procedures.Leadcross functional project teams and holds them accountable for deliverables
  • Act as a link between internal & external stakeholders and balance their interests
  • Drive escalations through functions and prepare for decisions incl. evaluation & recommendation
  • Support and lead the 0-mileage, audit process at all OEM's
  • Maintain and further develop the Fleet operator relationships
  • Develop the ECP and LCC products together with the PL/CVS Manager


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • 7+ years experience working with technical components and critical functions of ePowertrain and/or conventional powertrain - specifically for the North America Commercial Vehicle market which includes experience in multiple troubleshooting strategies (including 5S, 6-Sigma, 8D, etc.) and diagnostics.
  • Ability to lead direct reports effectively
  • Maintain Level 2 high-voltage equipment certification
  • Experience with ZF Testman and associated systems for use in troubleshooting transmission issues.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict management skills
