Senior Applications Systems Consultant
What You’ll Do Here:
PrecisionLender’s Quantitative Analytics team is looking for a senior banking professional with a quantitative background and deep analytical curiosity to join our team. As a Senior Applications System Consultant, you will work closely with our clients, relationship managers, product managers, and software engineers. You’ll deliver innovative platform solutions to our clients using your analytical skills, financial expertise, expert knowledge of our platforms and calculations, and deep understanding of commercial banking products.
As a recognized subject matter expert within the organization, you will provide quantitative expertise and solutions toward a variety of interesting problems. You will analyze complex financial models then use your superior written and verbal skills to effectively communicate your conclusions to both executives and engineers. You will draw on your ability to proactively influence people and projects with a high degree of independent decision making and minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise on the PrecisionLender platform regarding product configuration and calculation methodologies to internal teams and external clients.
- Evaluate and understand legacy pricing tools and methodologies of prospect banks. Identify capability & calculation gaps between legacy bank pricing tools and the PrecisionLender platform.
- Explain PrecisionLender engine calculations to existing and future client banks.
- Advise internal pricing and engine development teams on design of financial calculations.
- Advise Client Development and Service Delivery teams on PrecisionLender financial calculations, including capital / credit loss / funding / liquidity methodologies, regulatory calculations, pricing strategies, and profitability metrics.
- Research and advise internal teams on current and future banking regulation including Basel capital requirements and IFRS 9 and CECL requirements for expected credit loss.
- Act as consultant from Quantitative Analytics team on select Professional Services analytical solutions.
- Collaborate with other former bankers within the company to advise our Product team on creating new platform features or improving existing features.
- Provide subject matter expertise on PrecisionLender support questions from customers.
- Develop and present succinct analyses of complex data or analytics to internal teams.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Graduate Preferred) in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, economics, finance, or similar.
- 8+ years of experience in financial institutions, 3+ years within a large national or global bank.
- 5+ years working with banks in commercial loan pricing, risk management, finance, analytics, or similar functions. Preference will be given to candidates having demonstrated experience across combinations of these roles in leading financial companies.
- Demonstrated experience presenting financial or quantitative analyses to senior leadership
- Knowledge of commercial banking products, particularly credit and treasury products.
- Knowledge of credit risk concepts, including economic and regulatory capital.
- Deep experience with financial modeling (experience with loan pricing models preferred).
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel (VBA preferred).
