RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Service & Product Manager across several technical domains: Unix/Java/J2EE/Shell Script/VXML/Oracle/MS SQL within Advisory
  • Ensure workflows, processes, tooling, and applications are of the highest quality standard
  • Contribute expertise to the management of existing and new IT products and services
  • Define workarounds for known errors and initiate process improvements
  • Maintain a knowledge database
  • Ensure production support execution aligned to existing ITIL framework and is in accordance global UBS standards, policies, and procedures
  • Act as the immediate escalation point for customers, stakeholders, and IT management for some of the services provided
  • Be responsible for incident management, problem management and request fulfillment management
  • Partner with and coordinate deliverables across teams globally


REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, Unix, Perl scripting, Oracle PL/SQL, Sybase, Autosys, Big Panda, Splunk, App Dynamics, Websphere/Tomcat, Python
  • Proficient with software development tools, such as SQL Developer, Putty, WinSCP
  • Additional skills like ServiceMix, Camel are big plus
  • Good domain Knowledge of Wealth Management and Advisory
  • Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesizing skills
  • Ability to solve complex issues, good at problem statement analysis and solution design thinking
  • Confident communicator that can explain technology to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies and effective implementation
