We are currently looking for a Solution Architect (SA) to join our Customer Solution Center (CSC) team based in Austin, TX.

As part of Global PreSales, the Dell Customer Solution Centers are focused on providing customers with confidence that the proposed solution/architecture will satisfy their specific IT requirements and service level objectives (SLOs).

You will have the opportunity to work with leading technology involving Isilon, PowerScale, Object Storage like ECS.

You will interact with Customers and other Solution Architects being a technical leader with Dells unstructured storage solutions

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

• Be responsible for delivering Proofs-of-Concept, Technical Briefings and Architectural Design Sessions to customers and partners, and in doing so meeting and exceeding customer expectations

• Be a Subject Matter Expert in Data Center infrastructure focusing on NAS/File, Object Storage, Virtualization, and Server Administration

• Work with the sales, presales, & product group teams to provide feedback & suggestions for improvement, competitive strengths and weaknesses, lab inventory and planning for upcoming product releases.

• Support CSC communications plans by documenting the solutions you are responsible for and documenting success stories, using blogs, social media feeds etc

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelors with 6+ years of experience in a relevant role

• Strong knowledge on Network Attached Storage like Isilon or equivalent NAS

• Strong experience in Redhat Linux, Ubuntu and Suse Linux

• Knowledge of working on protocols like CIFS, NFS, FTP

• Exceptional technical, verbal communication and presentation skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment that can include various internal and external contacts

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience within complex customer environments especially within core Dell technology offerings

• Prior Hands-on and architecture experience using various hardware and software platforms including
  • Any NAS Storage
  • Windows and VMware
  • Knowledge of Networking and AD/DNS
  • Industry knowledge like Media and Entertainment
  • Object Storage like ECS
