About the Role
GoodRx is seeking a Senior Ad Operations Manager to help create, manage, and drive adoption of our digital ad operation processes. This individual will report to the Senior Director, Digital Marketing and will work closely with marketing channel owners, product managers, operations team, and analytics team to develop operational excellence and ensure data integrity. From audience deployment, to conversion tracking, to taxonomy building, this position is essential to the day-to-day ad operations function for digital marketing. They will also play a key role in implementing and monitoring our digital brand safety and suitability policies across all digital channels.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with an extensive background in third party ad servers, DSPs, DMPs, ad verification platforms, and other platforms throughout the ad tech ecosystem. They will also be a strong strategy driver of the changing ecosystem in the ad tech space (ITP, ETP, CCPA, iOS 14.5 changes, Privacy Sandbox, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Drive the overall strategy and governance for our digital media tech stack, including ad verification (safety, suitability, fraud), standards for pixel/tag generation, server to server tracking, 3rd party impression tagging, and other tech implementations
- Partner across teams to improve overall technical setup and workflows - working to identify and design (or use 3rd party) tools to improve operational efficiencies
- Manage technical projects and priorities with marketing teamBe the subject matter expert in assigned areas of Ad Ops processes/technology and serve as a point of escalation for all Ad Ops related inquiries from internal stakeholders
- Troubleshoot and resolve marketing technical issues such as impression tracking, conversion tracking, ad verification, data integrity, etc.
- Maximize adoption of Ad Ops processes across teamsStay current on platform features and continue developing process improvements
- Lead the documentation of Ad Ops processesHelp marketing with data privacy operations and project requirements gathering
Skills & Qualifications:
- 6+ years of senior/technical experience in ad operations (agency, ad tech or in-house)
- Extensive hands-on experience with ad technologies including 3rd party ad servers (GCM/Sizmek), DSP’s (TTD/DV360), and ad-verification (DV, IAS, Moat) is required
- Experience with data management platforms is a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of analytics platforms (GA360, etc.), and the programmatic and mar/ad tech landscapes
- Proficient in driving operational efficiencies measured by meaningful, objective metrics
- Strong ability to pull data and troubleshoot discrepancies using reporting tools and Excel
- Understanding of governmental privacy regulations on the collection and use of customer data (such a GDPR and CCPA) and how this impacts advertising data collection and targeting
- Familiarity with SEM platforms (Google Ads, Bing Ads, SA360, etc.)
- Ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization and communicate up to the senior leadership level, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork
- Familiarity and ability to maximize team's use of work management platforms such as Asana, JIRA, etc.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills required
- Self-starter and quick learner, but able to ask for help when necessary
- Experience with HTML and SQL is a plus
- Effective time management, strong analytical and organizational skills
