Your Role and Responsibilities

In this exciting role you will be required to collaborate & work efficiently with IBM program teams, IBM management across service lines, as well as IBM's clients.

  • You will be supporting IBM Federal Management Security Services within a Federal Cloud environment, serving as the Security Intelligence Operations Manager.
  • You will be responsible for the delivery of security services for 24x7x365 SOC environment supporting over 50 Federal, DoD, State & Local clients in the IBM Federal Data Centers.
  • You will have daily oversight of multiple teams including Security Tools Engineers, Security Analysts, Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence & Threat Hunting team all in support of delivering 24x7x365 security operations for our clients.
  • Also responsible for verification of service efficacy by utilizing Key Process Indicators (KPI) & Key Risk Indicators (KRI); creating weekly & mthly. reports to present to upper mgt.
  • Manage Multiple Security teams & staff to maintain effective 24x7x365 operations.
  • Collaborate with leadership & IBM Federal clients to deliver services.
  • Develop & maintain weekly & mthly. reporting metrics for management.
  • Develop & maintain up to date & comprehensive operating procedures.
  • Manage personnel, including performance reviews, goal setting, etc.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Extensive SOC experience running 24x7x365 Ops.
  • Excellent team / staff mgt. skills.
  • Experience with operating & oversight of SIEM & SOAR platforms, Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) platforms.
  • Experience with operating & oversight of Vulnerability Management platforms.
  • Experience with CTI & Threat Hunting teams that support Security Ops.
  • Experience in risk management.
  • Experience in vulnerability scan & vulnerability management practices & tools
  • Experience in security incident response procedures
  • Create & maintain formal documentation for standard operating procedures & policies
  • Excellent teamwork & formal documentation skills E
  • CISSP or CISM security certification required.
  • Escalation point 24x7x365 for issues that require management attention/assistance.



Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Experience with MITRE ATT&CK framework
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture concepts
  • Understanding of FedRAMP / NIST cyber security controls & frameworks
  • CISA, CGEIT, CIPP/G, CIPP/US certifications desirable in addition to CISSP or CISM
