Your role:
Science Coordinator - We need your talent, teamwork, and energy to help us achieve great things that inspire people all over the globe. We need you to bring creative ideas and diverse backgrounds to help us envision, shape, and deliver systems that will enable
the exploration of space while benefiting people here on Earth.
What you'll do all day:
- Provide lunar mission science, logistics, and business services to a range of NASA's human exploration organizations
- Provide technical review, preparation, and development of scientific, engineering, and technical documents
- Prepare schedules and track actions for reporting
- Maintain SharePoint action and event tracker for Artemis Program activities
- Investigate science mission operations concepts, software tools, and methodologies for lunar and Mars mission
scenarios
- Integrate science community documents into flight systems and human and robotic planetary exploration requirements.
- Perform other tasks assigned.

Minimum requirements for this position:

- BS degree from an accredited college or university in an associated technical discipline
- Scientific or technical writing, publication submissions, and proposal development
- Experience coordinating meetings and services across multiple organizations or groups
- Ability to develop innovative work ideas and work without specific tasking
- Proficient computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office suite, file/image editing with Adobe products)
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on a team and lead tasks when necessary
- Highly organized with attention to detail
Desired skills and experience for this position:
- Bachelor's in science and/or business
- Budget and/or project management
- Mission science integration and operations
- Knowledge of Earth and lunar science
- Scientific field work, laboratory, image science, and/or remote sensing experience
- Proficiency with web-based collaborative platforms (e.g. wiki, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams)
- Prior NASA experience
