What You Will Be Doing

  • Develop and/or enhance processes, governance, and standards to comply with the firm's RISC (Risk, Information Security and Compliance) framework.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain required standards, procedures and policies.
  • Manage execution of risk assessment activities, as well as the coordination of risk response, program testing & validation to ensure achievement of strategic objectives.
  • Develop, lead, manage and motivate staff - champion the firm's risk culture.
  • Establish and manage operational risk management incidents, reporting process and related remediation activities.
  • Review significant events and advise business owners of action steps required to prevent future recurrence.
  • Document risk analysis & controls, as well as evaluate control design and continuous control improvement.
  • Manage specific areas of exposure; select, develop, and evaluate processes to ensure efficient operations.
  • Identify areas of potential improvement.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Acts as AML & Sanctions Program lead for agreed lines of business.
  • Facilitate periodic risk forums with senior management.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Typically, 7 years or more experience in risk & compliance, and the financial services industry.
  • At least 5 years' experience in AML/KYC compliance and related processes (i.e., sanctions screening).
  • Skill in the implementation and oversight of risk frameworks.
  • Experience in identification, assessment and tracking of risks and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Capable of drafting, reviewing, and maintaining policies and procedures.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft software, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines and targets.

  • Experience with Power BI
  • SQL or coding knowledge
