About the Team: 

Our Risk Team is at the heart of managing and balancing risk and reward for our global platform. While still in its early stages of development, this is a great opportunity to bring your extensive knowledge and experience to continue building our risk journey. We work closely with all our key stakeholders, such as Compliance, Product, Engineering, Customer Support, Marketing, Finance and Payment Operations to successfully launch various global products while understanding the associated risks and management strategies for business growth.

About the Opportunity: 

The Manager, Risk Tools and Technology, is expected to have a track-record in managing complex, multi-faceted initiatives with multiple stakeholders (Businesses and other functions like Finance, Technology etc.) as well as strong partnership, collaboration and creative problem solving skills to achieve value-adding outcomes. Strong understanding of effective risk management practices as well as thought leadership on meeting regulatory requirements will also be expected of this candidate 

At your core, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, process-driven environment and be able to adapt and adjust plans on-the-fly. You must also have strong prioritization skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done. Most importantly, you’ll drive results and significantly grow the adoption of Okcoin products and features.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide on-the-ground support to execute the planning and coordination of large scale projects and initiatives within the Risk Program; 
  • Monitor and track the execution of said programs and escalate any risks impacting project delivery to appropriate stakeholders; ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary;
  • Drive adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards to ensure high quality deliverables; 
  • Partner with internal Risk/Compliance leaders and external payments/technology vendors to identify emerging risks and opportunities and come up with risk mitigation strategies and solutions
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal risk management tools, resources, training, and mechanisms that can scale with the organization.

What We Look For In You:

  • Independently managed complex projects and worked with senior leaders in product, technology, and other functions across the company.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in Risk Management, Technology Risk, or other similar risk consulting or internal control functions (e.g. internal audit, compliance, fraud mitigation, etc.) in a financial services, technology, payments, merchant/acquiring, audit/consulting, business software, retail or online services company.
  • 1+ years experience in Enterprise, IT/Technology Risk, or Operational Risk roles.
  • 1+ years experience working in a risk and control capacity with engineering teams and technical functions. Demonstrated competencies in technology, operational, financial, and/or information risk management.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience designing and implementing new Risk management programs or processes from the ground up.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams within a complex international organization
  • Knowledge of the payment industry, regulatory compliance landscape, and of credit/debit payments systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal form across functional groups within the company, with Clients, Customers and Vendors, as well as Senior Management.
  • Ability to manage through influence
  • Strong analytical skills
