King's Hawaiian has been a family-owned business since 1950 when Robert R. What started as loaves of delicious, sweet Hawaiian bread has now successfully expanded into multiple product lines, retail products, two restaurant locations in California, and factories on both coasts. Now, the Taira Family wants to further the celebration of Hawaiian food with an exciting new restaurant in the Greater Atlanta area.

Summary:
King's Hawaiian is excited to bring Hawaiian Food to our 'Ohana in the Greater Atlanta area. We are seeking a Service Manager for our new restaurant to help us create an experience for the community by sharing irresistible food. The ideal candidate will exemplify our mission to the community as well as support and deliver on our vision to be "the global leader in the Hawaiian Food Category". This person is motivated by creating an environment for people to break bread together, and more importantly, proud to be part of an 'Ohana that shares the Aloha Spirit.
Job Requirements:
Reporting to the General Manger, the Service Manager is an extremely valued leadership position within the restaurant. This position is responsible for leading and energizing the Front of House team to create daily Aloha Experiences for our guests. Leadership roles are expected to lead with self-awareness, "curious, collaborative, and critical thinking", and have a strong bias towards action. Responsibilities for this position include but aren't limited to:

  • Oversee all daily restaurant Front of House operations with the goal of exceeding all guest expectations
  • Provide consistent leadership and encouragement to lead Front of House team members during business hours
  • Cultivate a diverse and welcoming culture of Aloha for all guests and team members
  • Maintain an excellent level of food, service, health, and safety standards to ensure guest and team member safety
  • Collaborate with General Manager to conduct team meetings as necessary
  • Consistently apply, maintain and improve systems, tools, and processes in a manner that produces measurable outstanding results by department
  • Identify, interview, train, and develop a highly productive, cross-functional team of employees


Skills/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in Front of House operations
  • 1-3 years of experience within a leadership position
  • Proficient in English with clear verbal and written communication skills
  • A true Aloha Spirit: Phenomenal guest service and hospitality skills
  • Basic math and computing skills
  • A "curious, critical and collaborative" thinker who is always eager to learn
  • Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to provide feedback and coaching to team
  • Proficient in all Front of House positions and able to support all of them as needed
  • Self-motivated with the ability to see what is needed to be done with little direction
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced team environment
  • Must be flexible on schedule and process, able to pivot and change easily
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time during shift
  • Ability to arrive on time ready to work for all assigned shifts including, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
