The Opportunity

As a Remarketing Specialist you will provide quality and efficient customer service by performing administrative duties related to the remarketing of vehicle returns. Every call is an opportunity for you to use your communication and negotiation skills while working with customers, auto dealerships, vendors and financial institutions concerning retail and lease accounts. You will work with other team members to ensure that the daily workload of the center is completed.

What is Remarketing? We prepare and manage the inventory of Ally's U.S. pre-owned retail and lease-return vehicles, which includes: Vehicle Return Management Transportation Logistics Inspection, Title Coordination, Online and Physical Auction Sales, Direct-to-Dealer Sales, Direct-to-Customer Sales. The Work Itself
  • Supports SmartAuction dealers and Ally Sales Teams to increase dealer buying and selling through sales negotiation and building rapport to complement overall revenue targets.
  • Delivers continuously improving year on year expense results by improving processes and increasing productivity.
  • Builds solid peer-to-peer relationships in a team environment to meet operational needs.
  • Communicates effectively and clearly on a daily, weekly, monthly basis with dealer customers to provide outstanding customer service regarding routine requests.
  • Supports thorough quality, control and compliance programs to include an ongoing control/compliance self-assessment process.
  • Communicate process improvements and best practices as they pertain to SmartAuction to maximize customer experience.
  • Responds promptly to internal and external matrix partner requests (information, data, letter generation, etc.) on an as needed basis.
The Skills You Bring
  • HS diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred. 3-5 years of experience in financial services or related field is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of general/standard office and administrative procedures and methods, data entry and word processing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Significant Excel experience required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to clearly provide routine information to teammates, customers, dealers or suppliers.
  • Sufficient computer skills to prepare policy manuals and enter data on spreadsheets
  • In limited subject areas, judgment is required to determine the applicability of guidelines or policies to specific situations. Some resourcefulness and initiative required to collect information, coordinate activities with others, and resolve routine and/or factual problems
  • Effective Negotiation and Conflict Management skills required.
