Regional EHS Manager
As a member of Gopuff’s Compliance Team, the Regional Compliance Manager will report to Gopuff’s Director of Compliance. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of regulatory compliance for existing operating facilities, and supporting the design and launch of new locations under their responsibility. This individual will lead the compliance culture and values through the demonstration of felt leadership, the philosophy of operational discipline and the drive of continuous improvement across operations nationwide.
Qualifications
Ability to interpret local, state, and federal regulations and experience implementing regulatory requirements.
Strong track record in the competencies of occupational health and safety compliance.
Bachelor's degree in related field.
Training or teaching experience.
Interpersonal skills to work successfully within a team-based system.
Periodic offsite travel required - 25% of the time.
Knowledge of compliance and regional laws a plus.
Basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
Leads effort to ensure compliance with restricted product delivery requirements, and driver identification compliance, including improving overall performance.
Develops and implements food safety plans at operating locations.
Works with Gopuff’s permitting and licensing department to ensure appropriate operating permits and licenses for facilities are up-to-date and displayed at each facility.
Executes action plans for each facility’s permit requirements to maintain compliance with local laws and regulations.
Organizes and leads the training of site resources to raise awareness of permitting requirements at their facility and ensuring their understanding of maintaining compliance.
Builds strong relationships and networks across various functions to support the process and meet company objectives and growth requirements for opening new locations.
Executes implementation plan for any new standards, procedures or guidelines to support regulatory requirements.
Provides technical support to sites in an effort to identify and determine appropriate action to resolve regulatory risks and incident investigations.
Responsible for responding to all hazard complaints from OSHA, FDA, or other regulatory agencies, through proper investigation and action plan development for operating locations.
Works with other functions to ensure all new locations will meet regulatory compliance prior to turnover to operations.
Develops and deploys a functional operational checklist to ensure key aspects of compliance (OSHA, NFPA, NEC, etc.) are met during various stages of the construction process.
Works with site leadership to document, report and investigate all occupational injuries and incidents to determine root cause and prevent recurrence across the organization by driving action items to completion.
Promotes consistency in the audit program by conducting field inspections and site audits and participates in regulatory inspections.
Reviews, analyzes and responds as appropriate to 2nd & 3rd party audit findings and action plans for the competency; participates in the development of audit protocols across compliance.
Benchmarks company performance across compliance aspects and lifts up to leadership any deficiencies in internal programs.
Responsible for record-keeping and proper reporting of metrics and key performance indicators.
