Eaton's Vehicle Division is currently seeking a Regional Category Manager - Ferrous Castings, Americas to join our team.

Position Overview:

Our supply chain management team creates bottom-line impact by driving cost management and operational benefits. Within our supply chain, the Regional Category Manager, Ferrous Castings supports the development and deployment of the global category strategy of grey iron, ductile iron and steel castings in the North America region. In this role, you will drive towards optimal conditions (cost, commercial, quality, delivery, innovation, VAVE, proactive supplier risk management, supplier crisis management) for the Vehicle Group's Global Ferrous Castings category by leveraging synergies across businesses and driving the "One Supply Chain" philosophy.

In this role, you will:

  • Support development of and deploy strategic initiatives to facilitate cross-business synergies across a rationalized set of global and regional preferred supplier partners.
  • Negotiate and manage key strategic supplier contracts and relationships.
  • Review, approve, monitor, and report compliance to category agreements and strategies based upon Eaton SCM policies
  • Develop innovative business solutions, forecast commodity projections and provide mitigation actions as applicable to ensure key metrics for the procurement function (Cost Out, DPO, Diversity Spend, etc.) are achieved.
  • Present new planning tools, methods, technical analysis, standards and procurement opportunities with senior management that are aligned with SCM/Eaton strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Benchmark procurement processes to develop and implement best practices throughout Eaton and Supply Chain Management.
  • Ensure compliance of suppliers with Eaton SCM Sustainability Programs, Go GREEN initiatives and SCM policies.
  • Plan, prepare and execute annual profit planning for the owned spend, and support execution with the business cross functional teams.
  • Lead Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers annually.
  • Identify potential financial / operational threats to the business and develop / deploy proactive supplier risk mitigation strategies to ensure supply continuity.


Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited institution
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in category management, procurement, supply chain, and/or operations
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years' professional negotiating experience in a global business environment
  • 3 - 5 years' professional experience with accountability across multiple manufacturing facilities
  • Knowledge of iron / steel castings industry and ability to identify technology and economic trends within the category


Position Success Criteria:

  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience in successfully developing and deploying category strategies and driving cost-out.
  • Creative thinking skills to produce new approaches in category management and implement emerging tools
  • Communication, customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to converse with senior management, suppliers, operations and SCM personnel
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional / global teams
  • Ability to influence and drive effective organizational change across impacted regions/businesses
  • Ability to drive results via fact-based negotiations
  • Ability to manage cost-out projects against scope, schedule and budget


Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $101,360 - $139,370 a year.
