Ascension Technologies is hiring a REDCap Administrator for a full time remote position!
The Enterprise REDCap Administrator position is a full-time/exempt position that will support the REDCap software application at Ascension in a healthcare setting in a variety of capacities as a REDCap administrator.
Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) is an application already in use at Ascension. This position will provide support for other REDCap Administrators as well as REDCap end-users. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for all aspects of the REDCap service including: developing in-depth understanding of the available features and modules; building and optimizing REDCap projects; and train/educate these both end-users and Admins in the use and functions of the application. Additionally, you will perform outreach and present education sessions to the Ascension REDCap community.
What You Will Do
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the REDCap software application at Ascension by assisting end-users using the application, processing end-user requests, and other administrative actions within the application.
  • Provides support to Ascension's 12 other REDCap instances and their Domain REDCap Administrators
  • Ability to create videos using screen capture software is not required but is a plus.
  • Work independently with diverse sets of clients and manage a diverse set of job responsibilities and tasks.
  • Develop and provide training for various audiences: technical training and workshops to investigators and study designers/managers in the development of data entry screens, consistency checks, and newly released REDCap features.
  • Maintain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dashboard for progress related to REDCap success
  • Responsible for troubleshooting customer issues and proactively driving their resolution.
  • Use a project/ticketing system to communicate with end users and manage project requests.
  • Develop, publish, and maintain knowledge base articles and documentation on application features, best practices and how-to's as well as training and reference materials for the community using wiki and knowledge management tools.
  • Maintain department service standards, with attention to personal/behavioral, staff teamwork and customer-staff interaction guidelines.
  • Collaborating with technical teams to support PHP and REST API development and automation.
  • Experience with Linux, Apache, and other open-source tools and languages
  • Strong documentation, coding, testing, and security practices
  • Preferred software experience:

What You Will Need
Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.


Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience preferred.

  • Self-motivated, independent, and possesses the ability to learn quickly
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to run large and small-scale projects concurrently, applying knowledge and awareness of project management principles
  • Develops promising ideas across the team; eager to experiment and innovate
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
  • Ability to deliver effective training programs and large group presentations
  • Knowledge of PHP/JavaScript/jQuery and experience with modern development frameworks and object-oriented design is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of relational database systems such as MySQL/MariaDB and source control systems such as Git and SVN is preferred
