Job Title: Recruitment and Matching Specialist

Reports To: Resource Development Supervisor
Job Summary: Responsible for engagement and recruitment of potential foster families. Oversees NCHS recruitment and retention plan and coordinates all recruitment activities. Facilitates matching of children with families who have the skills and abilities to meet the child's unique needs. Participates in the on-call phone line rotation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversight of internal and external foster parent recruitment and retention activities;
- Provides information about foster care and the NCHS Foster Care Program to potential foster families;
- Conducts inquiry visits with potential foster families to determine if a family is a match for the program;
- Connects families with pre-service foster care training as appropriate;
- Assessing and responding to all referrals for children needing care;
- Matching children with caregivers that have the skills to meet their unique needs;
- Participates in the on-call rotation to respond to referrals and foster and kinship family emergencies.
Supplemental Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master's Degree preferred, Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related filed required;
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in child welfare;
- Knowledge of the Nebraska foster care system preferred;
- Ability to manage a high volume caseload;
- Capacity to interpret and abide by NCHS policies and procedures;
- Ability to observe situations with sensitivity and objectivity;
- Possess high quality written and verbal skills;
- Knowledge of computer operations;
- Ability to work independently and self manage;
- Possession of a vehicle for travel to family homes and meetings;
- Current driver's license with no more than 3 points assessed;
- Vehicle insurance with minimum coverage requirements;
- Regularly required to speak and hear, walk, climb, sit, use hands and fingers to operate, handle or feel objects and equipment;
- Ability to lift at least 20 pounds;
- Ability to enter family homes with different types of entrances and structures.
- Ability to adjust normal work schedule to accommodate the needs of clients, including evening and weekend work.
- Work is completed in an office setting, in family homes and remotely;
- Local and out of state travel is required.

Salary: $20.00 - 23.00/hour
